Jiun Ho Inc. is a luxury lifestyle and design studio founded more than 12 years ago by interior and product designer Jiun Ho. Jiun is renowned for sensuous interiors that blend his minimal aesthetic with global inspirations. Balance and harmony are the hallmarks of Jiun’s vision. Lively contrasts—textures against clean lines, rich dark woods against sumptuous fabrics, shapes that are both challenging yet inviting—characterize his work. Jiun calls his designs, “flirtatious, elegant, tranquil and classic.” Jiun has traveled to more than hundred countries and fuses his first-hand experiences with the art and design of these cultures into his work. His projects span a variety of fields including the Three Star Michelin restaurant Saison, the blissful Revel Spa and luxury hotels, resorts and private residences around the world. His furniture, lighting and accessories adorn some of the country’s most exclusive homes and are available in leading international showrooms. Jiun is the recipient of numerous awards and has been featured in publications such as the New York Times, Luxe, Architectural Digest and Interior Design. Jiun was also named Top 15 of the Top 40 Under 40 by Prestige Magazine Malaysia in 2012. He is frequently invited to participate in prestigious showhouses and speaking engagements across the country. Jiun was born in Malaysia, where he built castles and houses while playing outside in the sand, and inside, he rearranged furniture in his home. In the early 1990s, Jiun moved to the U.S. to study interior architecture at the International Academy of Merchandising and Design in Chicago. During his first few years out of school, he worked in both corporate and hospitality projects after being recruited by several international architectural and design firms. At 26-years-old, he launched the full-service interior design firm, Jiun Ho Inc. and the Jiun Ho Collection, a line of high-end furniture carried by showrooms across the globe. Jiun’s passion for travel, great food and fine wine inspired him to create Jiun Ho de Jia, a lifestyle exploration gallery, atelier and event space in San Francisco. Meaning “House of Jiun Ho” in Chinese, Jiun Ho de Jia showcases hand-selected art, precious objects and rare antiques in addition to Jiun’s signature collections and provides visitors a look into the global cultures that have inspired Jiun throughout his career.
