• Secure social network for vulnerable learners.
• Mentioned in FELTAG recommendations
• Positive mention in Grade 1 Ofsted report
• 9 colleges currently taking part with a wide variety of learners from both England and Scotland – including Fortune Riding Centre.

Curriculum Activities
• Based around the 5 esafe Ts
• Sharing creative work on InBook
• Role play within specific allocated areas of the site to explore some of the issues
• Sharing of resources to support safe and responsible activities online
• Online video conferences for colleges in different parts of the country to share their experiences, ideas and activities.

RARPA
• Project to establish good practice with quality assurance of non accredited qualifications for students with LDD
• Phase 5 - Over 50 ‘Sector Leaders’ reviewing their organisational practice (inc Ruskin Mill and WESC foundation)
• Finishes end of March
• Hoping for further funding to include more Work Based Learning providers.

Outcomes include
• Staff Induction to RARPA
• Review target setting and learner portfolio development with attention to both qualitative and qualitative data
• The learner journey wheel: Learners assessing and monitoring their progress through their programme of study. This will include a guide to good feedback.
• Quick Guide to RARPA with templates and exemplar lesson plans
• Development of electronic ILP to enable all staff to access it.

Ambassadors
• Sharing stories and celebrating technology, independence and individual achievement
• A Jisc TechDis Ambassador is someone with a disability who shares and celebrates their use of technology in learning.
• Ambassadors are champions of technology. They are not representatives of TechDis nor do they need to ‘do’ anything for us.

Telling your story
• Introduce yourself at the beginning of your story. Make sure you tell us:
• who you are;
• about your disability;
• what technology you are using;
• what the technology does;
• how it helps you.

• If you would like to tell us your story using a written document or presentation make sure the story is no more than 250 words.
• Write your story clearly.
• You may use images such as a photograph and screenshots.
• You can get someone to help you write this.

Children and Families Bill
• Enactment of Bill Spring 2014 (possibly before the end of March)
• Implementation September 2014
• The definition of special educational needs (SEN) is extended to include young people up to the age of 25; the definition includes ‘learning difficulties’ and ‘disabilities’.
