You will notice the name of the lunch order day has changed. Fun activities such as Gumboot Throwing, Hay bale rolling etc are being planned. Please mark the day on your calendar to join us for lunch and lots of fun. PARENTS / FAMILIES ARE ENCOURAGED TO JOIN US FOR LUNCH AND THE ACTIVITIES All funds raised from the student activities will go to a Farmers Fund for drought-affected farmers. We are very proud of the students coming up with the idea. Start looking for your flannelette shirts etc

‘ASIAN’ Themed Cluster Day at Noojee Primary School – September 5 Parents may choose to use the bus ($6 per student) or take students to and from Noojee Primary School. The cost of the craft activity is $3 per child. Please indicate on the permission form the method of transport, and include payment for either the ‘bus and activity’ or the ‘activity’ alone. Please return the permission form tomorrow Coming up at Neerim District Secondary College for senior students …. Growth & Development – September 3 & 10 - 2.10 – 3.10 pm Grade 5 & 6 – Cost $10 per student. Parental transport: There will be two sessions in September. Please return the permission form with payment tomorrow Maths Day – September 13 – 9 am – 3 pm Grade 4 & 5 - No cost, with lunch provided. Parental transport or students may catch the bus. Please return the permission form tomorrow

West Gippsland Athletics Carnival – September 12 If your child / children have qualified for this event, information including a permission form was sent home recently. Please return permission forms by Monday. Transport: Parents are required to transport students to and from Newborough Time: As per students individual events Students do not need to be at the event all day, and can choose to be there just for their event/s. Please check the timetable to be sure your child has plenty of time before their event. Please return the permission form tomorrow

Hello everyone, In MARC Library this fortnight, we have continued our exploration of the books from the Children’s Book Council of Australia’s (CBCA’s) Book of the Year Awards shortlists. In the junior grades, we read The Very Noisy Baby by Alison Lester and Rodney Loses It! By Michael Gerard Bauer, from the Early Childhood category. In the middle grades, we looked at Ten Pound Pom by Carole Wilkinson and Florette by Anna Walker, from the Picture Books category, and in the senior grades we read Do Not Lick This Book by Idan Ben-Barak and The Big Book of Antarctica by Charles Hope, from the Eve Pownall Award for factual texts.
