Direct Housing Lines of Effort (As of 08/07/2019)

Potential Direct Housing Solutions Explored• Private Site Placement of Transportable Temporary Housing Units

(TTHUs)• All private sites located in flood zones require 6ft to 18ft elevation

of the unit & had issues w/ recurring flooding and accessibility • Line of effort not supported as a result

• Group Site Development • Estimated cost = $70,000 per pad or 30 pads for $2.1 million • group site development averages about 3-4 months for site ID,

contract process, permits/inspections, and construction • Commercial Park Placement

• 6 existing sites identified as feasible for TTHU’s, with 3 selected as primary locations (Glenwood, Villa Village, Longview)

• Sites located within 50 miles of impact areas in accordance with direct housing guidance

• Commercial Park Updates• All parks identified need electrical utilities upgrades; 20+ parks &

campgrounds deemed infeasible due to multiple infrastructure issues, not containing TTHU pads, or located in floodplain

• Commercial Park Expansion• Only one site found, but limited to 6 additional pad spaces at

$400k total, or $66k cost per pad • Approximately 91 days for site design, permitting, and

construction.

Individual Assistance – Applicant Placement• 70 applicants approved for DH – all have been contacted• 64 have found their own housing resource• 2 individuals entered into case management

Commercial Parks Status• Glenwood MHP

• 8 pads leased, 5 licensed-in, 3 moved out on 08/02/2019

• Villa Village MHP• 20 pads leased, all applicants contacted, but none (0) interested
