JetairFly Belgium (TUI Airlines) choses Gunnebo’s ImmSec e-Gate solution for

their new, State-of-the-art, building at Brussels Airport (24.150m²).

JetairFly decided to install Gunnebo’s e-Gate in

their new building for the immigration check

for their crew members. They will use this

building for the maintenance of their new

aircraft, a Boeing 787 Dreamliner and the

existing fleet. The building also centralized

following services in the region of Brussels:

Tour operator Jetair in Mechelen

Tour operator Sunjets.be in Brussels

The air broker Sirius in Mechelen

Air carrier JetairFly in Zaventem

Tec4Jets at Brussels Airport

The central services of travel agency Jetaircenter in Mechelen

TUIfly Academy Brussels Zaventem.

"We will regroup six business locations, that are at a distance of thirty kilometers of each

other, in a new business complex at Brussels Airport," said spokesman Hans

Vanhaelemeesch of tourism group TUI. "The new premises will house more than eight

hundred employees. The 1,725 employees of the tour operating, travel agencies and airline

operations will then work from only two locations: Zaventem and Ostend.”

The inauguration of their building is planned in Q3 2013.

“They choose for our Immigration gate, because we were able

to respond 100% to their specific demands: an automatic

entrance control system, equipped with automatic access doors

allows or denies bi-directional access from landside to airside

(and vice-versa), after a biometric check”, explains Joost Van

Mulders, Account Manager Gunnebo Belgium.

“Our solution is based on 2 main principles:

1. A biometric check via facial recognition, against a

picture from the JetairFly database by biometric

passport data.

2. A security check controlled by the border police, of the

badge of the JetairFly crew members. “

One of the main goals of JetairFly is to increase the operational duty cycle of the crew

members whereby the ImmSec e-gate is an essential part of it.

“This is a very important order(appr. € 300K, 5

years service contract included, with payment

terms of 30 days) for Gunnebo Belgium, as this

project will be a pilot for a much bigger

Immigration Project from Brussels Airport (RFP

awaited mid 2014)”, says Patrick Beke, Director

Sales Belgium.

Gunnebo realized this project together with their

partner ATOS Belgium. This e-Gate shall operate

based on the integration of both GUNNEBO

immigration software and ATOS biometric software.
