Padre Pio Jesus Take Care of EverythingWritten by Dominique Welch — April 30, 2020 I think that sometimes we forget about God, and more specifically that He is all powerful. He can do all things. But do we go to him, do we tell him what we need? Jesus said, whatever you ask in my name, I will do, so that the Father may be glorified in the son, and, ask and you shall receive. Are we asking God for his mercy to be upon us in these times, or are we too busy trying to figure all this out on our own? Jesus tells us to Take courage...and be not afraid.Theres a beautiful novena from Fr. Dolindo Ruotolo called The Surrender Novena, which was given to him by Jesus. The same prayer is said every day 10 times: O Jesus, I surrender myself to you, take care of everything. May we have peace and know that Our Lord will take care of everything. Jesus, we trust in you. PRAYER FOR COURAGE Dear God, in this time of trouble I turn to You first, and immediately, for courage. Bless my mind to think clearly. Bless my heart to know your hope. Bless my face and my words to bring calm to others. Bless my soul to trust that I am capable of facing this, and every challenge of my life, with the power of faith and courage. Amen.

ST. MARK

NO PUBLIC DAILY OR WEEKEND MASSES!

Sunday mornings at 11:30 AM or by appointment.

May 24, 2020 Dear Parish Family: Some of our parish members came to Mass last Sunday. Still others took the time to come to a weekday Mass. Those who were unable to be inside the church itself because of number restrictions received Holy Communion at the door of the church. It was very good to see all of you. Some of our people are still very much afraid because of the flu virus that has been going around. To those people, I say be of good cheer. Some people because of this fear have kept themselves in isolation. Prolonged isolation is not good. Even the hermits understood this and visited their monasteries from time to time. Contact with other human beings is very important even if it is just a phone call. I ask that those who are not afraid that you reach out in some fashion and reassure those who are afraid and let them know they are in our prayers.

As always, I am available to anyone who would like me to visit them. Just give me a call. Sincerely yours in Christ, Father Mark Schulte

MAY — HOPE Because love is filled with hope when it is shared, promote hope and the life-giving spirit that flows from it to our families. Ask each person in your family to choose something “impossible” to pray for this month. For ideas and a guide for this family project see Page 29 of The Family Fully Alive. Books are available in the back of the church.
