Recommended credit structure to the relationship managers such as covenants, collateral and terms. approximately $350 million with approximately 300 customer relationships. I also managed a client portfolio of approximately 50 - 75 relationships with loan commitments totaling approximately $60 million.

Mentored and coached a team of four portfolio officers supporting clients located in various parts of New York, Pennsylvania, New Jersey and Connecticut.

Underwrote and recommended credit structure for client loan facility commitment increases, facility renewals and balloon refinances. The client commitment exposure ranged from $100,000 to $8 million. Revenue level of clients ranged from $1 million to $400 million. Transactions included industries such as manufacturing, service, wholesale/distribution, retail, contractors, ESOP owned, leveraged financed, not-for-profit, legal and healthcare.

Reviewed Moody’s MFA financial statement spreads for accuracy. Monitored financial reporting requirements such as financial statements, covenant compliance certificates, asset based line of credit reporting, and miscellaneous statements for completeness and timeliness. Reviewed and executed various portfolio letters that were sent to clients. Prepared loan quality memos for credit transactions experiencing deteriorating financial trends.

Scheduled conference calls with management and/or owners of clients to discuss credit issues such as financial performance trends, statement reporting requirements, overdrafts, and covenant compliance issues. Notified the sales team and branch personnel of any material change or issues in the client relationship. Involved in active consultation with Merrill Lynch Business Financial Services’ in-house legal, loan documentation and work-out groups to ensure understanding of client issues and resolution to certain client transactions.
