Ingredients:
3 Eggs Separated
1 C. Sugar
5 Tbsp. Pineapple Syrup or Juice
1 C. Flour
1 tsp. Baking Powder
1 tsp. Salt
1 Stick Unsalted Butter
1/2 Bag or Box Brown Sugar
1 Can Pineapple Slices in Syrup or Juice
1 Can Pineapple Crushed, Tidbits, or Chunks
1 Jar Maraschino Cherries
Supplies:
Egg Separator Flour Sifter
Mixing Bowls Can Opener
Mixer Colander
Spatula Large Iron Skillet
Measuring Cups Hot Pads or Mitts
Measuring Spoons Cake Plate

Pineapple Upside Down Cake

Directions:
Drain and reserve juices.
Separate eggs.
Beat egg whites stiff and set aside.
Sift flour, baking powder, and salt then set aside.
Cream egg yolks, sugar, and pineapple syrup.
Slowly mix in flour, gently fold in stiffened egg whites, then set aside.
Melt butter and brown sugar in an iron skillet then remove skillet from heat.
Place pineapple and cherries as desired into melted butter and brown sugar mixture.
Pour cake mix into skillet on top of pineapple then bake at 350 degrees for 40 to 45 minutes.

Pineapple Upside Down Cake
Melt and Place:
1 Stick Unsalted Butter
1/2 Bag or Box Brown Sugar
1 Can Drained Pineapple Slices
1 Can Drained Pineapple Tidbits
1 Jar Drained Maraschino Cherries
Melt brown sugar and butter in an iron skillet. Place pineapple and cherries as desired
into melted butter and brown sugar mix.
Pour cake mix into skillet on top of pineapple. Bake at 350 degrees for 40 to 45 minutes.
