JENGAN is a well-established industrial company, specialized in designing and manufacturing of generator sets, dewatering pumps and tower lights.

JENGAN aims to be a major player in the Middle East power generation market and water pumping systems market.

The range in Al Makeen covers generator sets from 5 to 16 kVA (50/60 Hz) suitable for prime, baseload and stand by applications.

JENGAN also provides customized products (built as per specification) for any complex power requirements.

LEADING THE WAY IN POWER GENERATION

JENGAN family started its business in Dubai, back in the early 1950s by trading in diesel engines and parts. Over the years trading in agricultural and construction related products developed in range and in volume.

The business was further enlarged by opening branches in nearby geographical areas and starting new business in designing and manufacturing of water and waste water pumping systems.

Generator sets have been a major product that was dealt in by JENGAN LLC and its sister companies for years, either by trading, renting out or repairing and servicing.

PROVEN POWER - INNOVATIVE DESIGN IN EVERY GREAT MACHINE

In 1912 YAMAOKA HATSUDOKI KOSAKUSHO was founded in Japan producing gas engines, nine years later the Yanmar brand was adopted. Ever since, the Yanmar brand ventured into great development stages to become a world renowned name in the field of diesel engines. Yanmar developed the world’s first small horizontal water-cooled diesel engine in 1933. The Yanmar engines used in our Al Makeen range have a very simple structure and compact size. It is easy to carry and supply the rugged power for many kinds of applications, especially powering generators.

With more than sixty years of experience in the electromechanical field, Mecc-Alte is today at its height in the world production of synchronous alternators, with ISO 9001 certification awarded in 1996 & ISO 14001 in 2010. A turnover of approximately 130 million euro and almost 850 employees. Mecc-Alte is a well established company ready to challenge all the manufacturers in its field. Mecc-Alte produces standard and customised alternators from 1 to 3000 kVA.

Al Makeen is a range of diesel engine powered generator sets available in 5 Ratings, from 5 kVA to 16 kVA in 50/ 60 Hz. This range is made using Yanmar diesel engine and Mecc-Alte alternator. This power generating set (brush less) is a fully designed and integrated power generation system that provides optimum and reliable performance.

Load factor may be up to 100 % of standby rating. No overload is permitted

The packaged combination of a diesel engine, an alternator and various ancillary devices such as base, sound attenuation canopy, control systems, circuit breakers, jacket water heaters, starting systems, etc, is referred to as a generating set or a genset for short. Diesel generating sets are used in places without connection to the power grid or as emergency power-supply if the grid fails. Many Diesel generators have a secondary function of feeding power to utility grids either during peak periods, or periods when there is a shortage of power generation. Generating sets are selected based on the load they are intended to supply power for, taking into account the type of load, i.e. emergency or for continuous power, and the size of the load, and size of any motors to be started which is normally the critical parameter.
