1992 -1994 American Management Systems, Arlington, VASystems Analyst (Other Titles as Listed) Database Administration Team (1993 - 1994) Arlington, VA Coordinated technical aspects of a DB2-based decision support system used to answer recurring and ad-hoc reporting needs for a federal agency client. Oversaw database structure, planned system modifications, and monitored performance. Used SQL via QMF and SPUFI, as well as BMC Catalog Manager. Developed a project monitoring system and a cross-platform database reporting system using DB2 source data to report through Microsoft Access via an IBM LAN Server network. Developed and implemented an in-house LAN-based project management system, which integrated Microsoft Access, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft Project under a common Visual Basic interface. Created a process-reporting utility to integrate mainframe process data and Microsoft Access reporting and charting. TS/SCI clearance.

Department of Veterans' Affairs Project (1992 - 1993), Arlington, VA Analyzed and designed specifications for user-requested modifications to the Federal Financial System, a VSAM-based accounting product. Worked closely with functional and technical personnel to coordinate functional design aspects and technical feasibility. Provided microsystem coordination to the 100-person project team and liaison with corporate network support team for Novell-based token ring LAN. Designed and implemented an in-house LAN-based project management database in Alpha Four.

1988 - 1992 The White House, Washington, DCFinancial Systems AssistantOffice of Administration, Financial Management Division. Administered a 25-user local area network in the Financial Management Division. Designed, developed, and implemented in-house financial and business applications using FoxBase+, QuickBASIC, Quattro Pro 3.0, and WordPerfect 5.1. Ran divisionusers' group and published a bi-weekly newsletter. Recommended hardware and software purchases and upgrades. Developed training guides and materials. Designed a standard workstation application control system used throughout the White House complex. Initiated design and specification of first PC-based local area network in the White House complex. Designed, developed, and implemented a network-based legislation tracking system in FoxPro. Designed and implemented a division-wide, network-based executive information system with QuickBASIC and proprietary utilities.

1985 – 1988 1912th Computer Systems Group, Langley Air Force Base, VAAirman-In-Charge, Command Section (Other Titles As Listed)Handled staff support administration for Commander, Deputy Commander, and Executive Officer of 700-personnel group. Supported group administrative personnel as microcomputer liaison. Maintained deadline-tracking database for six organizational divisions. Led office automation initiatives for the Command Section. Headed the unit's migration from dedicated word processing equipment to PC-based systems. Field-tested software designed for the Commander, Tactical Air Command. Maintained spreadsheet-based statistical database for inter-division evaluation. Hand selected for this position by the unit commander; previously assigned as Administrative Specialist, Imagery Interpretation Branch, Intelligence Division, 1912th Computer Systems Group. Secret clearance. Additional Duty: LAFB Honor Guard (founding Sabre Team Commander).
