Infant may roll into space between pad and loose mesh sides causing suffocation.• This portable cot is intended for use by a child who cannot climb out of the cot, is less than 89cm tall and weighs less than 14kg.• DO NOT use this cot if the covering material has been bitten through.• MATTRESS SIZE: This cot is made to use a mattress which is 630mm wide, 960mm long and no more than 24mm thick. Using the wrong size mattress may create hazardous gaps that could result in suffocation or could reduce the side height of the cot which may result in your child falling out of the cot.

AVOID SUFFOCATION HAZARDS:

• To prevent suffocation from entrapment, use only the floor pad provided by manufacturer. NEVER use additional mattress or padding.• If a sheet is used, only use a fitted crib sheet that tucks at least 5cm under the bassinet and changing table or floor pad on all sides to avoid entanglement.• DO NOT leave child in product with any side lowered. Be sure all sides are raised and locked in position at all times.• NEVER use plastic shipping bags as mattress covers. Do not use plastic film as mattress cover unless sold and intended for that purpose. They can cause suffocation.• DO NOT use a water mattress with this product.

AVOID STRANGULATION HAZARDS:

• NEVER USE additional mattresses, padding, sheets or other objects that will permit your child to climb out, fall and/or be injured.• Strings can cause strangulation! DO NOT place items with a string around child’s neck (hood strings, pacifier cords, etc.) or attach strings to toys.• DO NOT suspend strings into a cot• DO NOT place the cot near a window where cords from blinds o

AVOID HEAT EXPOSURE HAZARDS:

To avoid over-heating your child:• Keep product out of direct sunlight.• Turn mesh sides away from direction of sun.• ALWAYS keep entire floor pad shaded from sunlight.

AVOID OTHER HAZARDS:

• DO NOT use the cot near naked heat sources, bar heaters, open fires or exposed flames.• Keep medication and small items that a child could choke on away from the cot.• The thickness of the mattress has been specified to ensure that th distance from the top of the mattress to the top of the lowest side or end will always be at least 500mm. This will reduce the risk of children falling out of the cot.

How to Assemble Your Portable Cot

To Open Portable Cot

1 Remove any cardboard insertsor plastic ties used to protect the product during shipment.

Stand the portable cot unpright.Undo velcro straps on floorpad and remove floor pad fromunit.

Pull up sharply on centre floorhandle to make sure floor jointsare unlocked. Handle must beeven with top rails.

WARNING• Failure to lock all 4 top rails in upright position and lock centre floor handle can result in death by suffocation.• Infants can suffocate:• In gaps between the side of the product and either an extra mattress or a mattress too small or too thick.• On soft bedding. NEVER add a mattress, pillow, comforter or padding. Use only mattress/pad provided by manufacturer.• NEVER LEAVE infant in product with sides down. Infant may roll into space between pad and loose mesh causing suffocation.

4 Lift each top rail until it locks. • Top rails automatically lock when lifted fully. • Top rails cannot lock if the floor is flattened first. • If one or more of the top rails will not lock, pull sharply on centre floor handle to makesure floor joint(s) are unlocked. • Check that all four top rails are locked proceeding to Step 6.

Push down floor and fold floorhandle over. Floor handle willlock automatically.

Install floor pad, padded side up. Thread velcro straps through floorand fold over under the floor. Repeat for all corners.

Do not use portable cot withoutfloor pad.

Inspect Portable Cot Before Use

1 Push down on all 4 top rails tomake sure they are locked (“A on illustration).

Push down on all 4 floor joints and the floor centre to make sure they are locked and floor is completely flat (“B” on illustration).

To Fold Portable Cot

IMPORTANT: Top rails cannot be unlocked first.

1 Remove portable cot floor pad.

Take hold of handle and turnhandle to vertical position andpull upright to unlock floor.Handle should be even with top rails.

NOTE: A sharp fast pull will release floor locks.

Locate centre of each top rail.Lift and squeeze centre of toprail to release lock. Then push down on top rail while continuing to squeeze.

NOTE: To fold, top rail must be lifted to release lock. Top rail cannot be pushed in until the lock joint is lifted. If top rail will not unlock, pull up sharply on centre floor handle to make sure ALL floor rails are unlocked. Handle must be even with top rails.

Repeat for all sides.

Pull handle to bring floor completely up and gather legstogether. NOTE: To fold compactly, the centre of the portable cot floor must be pulled all the way up.

To Pack Portable Cot

1 Lay floor pad flat on the floor, padded side up and place folded portable cot off centre on secondfloor panel as shown.

Wrap floor pad around folded portable cot. Thread velcro straps through rings on floor pad.

Pull bag down over portable cot.Zip travel bag.

Trouble Shooting Guide

Top rails fail to lock into an upright position.Centre of floor must be raised up to level of top rails.A sharp pull on the centre floor handle will release floorlocks allowing the top rails to be locked upright.If necessary, hold the centre floor handle with one handand lock rails one at a time.

The floor joints do not flatten.Turn portable cot upside down and make sure floorjoints are free from foreign objects.

Top rails do not unlock to fold.Centre of floor must be raised up to level of top rails.A sharp pull on the centre floor handle will release floorlocks allowing the top rails to be unlocked.Lift top rail first, then squeeze to release lock.

Floor joints do not unlock.Raise centre floor handle up to the level of the top railsto unlock floor joints.

Folded portable cot does not fit into floor pad and it is difficult to attach velcro straps.Pull centre floor handle outward (toward corner caps) and push legs inward to compact portable cot.Shift portable cot lower on pad or turn slightly and tryagain. (see illustration on page 14 for proper placementof portable cot for folding).
