  • PREFACE Ten years ago the Paul and Maxine Frohring Foundation made to John Cabot University a generous donation which provided the necessary basis for the Library to become the best English academic collection in Rome today. Many things have happened in the last decade, not the least of which was the challenge of keeping pace with the University growth. In this demanding environment the Frohring Library has taken roots and grown, always focused on developing and improving services, by building closer relationships not only with JCU students, faculty and staff, but with a broad network of local, regional, and international libraries. To celebrate these achievements, we decided to organize JCU Authors 2009. The exhibition is not exhaustive; showcasing a broad selection of the books produced by current professors (and a few staff members) it only aims to offer the JCU community an opportunity to learn about hidden aspects of the lives of its members, their interests and thoughts. The present catalog records all the items shown in the exposition, listing all the authors in alphabetical order. Under each name are three categories: authored books, edited books with the analytic description of JCU authors contributions, and at last book chapters and journal articles. Each category is sorted in alphabetical order. This event should be seen as a further step towards maturity, as the Frohring Library undertakes the task of documenting, preserving and sharing worldwide John Cabot University contributions to knowledge and creativity.
