Flag PicksRemember the old party favourite of cheese and pineapple on cocktail sticks spiked into half a grapefruit? Here we have recreated it using the Union Jack Flags Picks which are available in bags of 12 and 144, product code: C2365. Of course you don’t have to stick to cheese and pineapple, other tasty ideas include brie and grapes or baby mozzarella balls with baby tomatoes.

Patriotic SprinklesAdding colourful sprinkles immediately jazzes up anyparty food. Sprinkle over freshly baked cakes and biscuits whilst the topping is still sticky.

If you have made or purchased treats earlier and the topping has set, just brush a little edible glue over the icing or chocolate so that the sprinkles stick firmly in place. The edible glue is clear, tasteless and one pot goes a long way as you need very little of it.

These mini chocolate rolls have been sprinkled in Red, White & Blue Nonpareils whilst the lemon slices have been decorated with the Red, White & Blue Sugar Balls.

Jazz up ice cream with the small Red, White & Blue Nonpareils.

Fruity WindmillsFor a delicious snack take small pieces of fruit like grapes, melon, kiwi fruit and strawberries, skewer onto these colourful windmills and then decide whether to leave plain or drizzle over with melted chocolate.

Icing Union Jack Bunting& Sugarettes

To make sugar bunting around a cake, simply take the Circular Union Jack Sugarettes and with scissors cut them into triangles. It’s that easy! We have used a long thin sausage shape of red sugarpaste icing to hang them from but you could pipe a thin line or even draw a rope with an edible ink pen. To stick the bunting on, use edible glue or icing sugar and water mixed into a stiff paste.

Add A Little Sparkle To Your FoodThese small sparkly flakes can be used straight from the pot or ground down to make a finer sprinkle resembling glitter. Crown Shaped SandwichesSandwiches don’t have to remain square or triangular!Here we have used the Crown Biscuit Cutter to create these shaped cheese sandwiches.

Any shaped biscuit cutter will do whether it is metal or plastic, just press down hard onto the sandwich and pull away the excess bread.

Popcorn & Windmills

These colourful boxes are a great way of displaying small treats like popcorn, marshmallows or small chocolate brownies. Add a few windmills into the display and your table of food will look really colourful and impressive.

Regal Biscuits

You can turn any shape of biscuit into a regal treat with a little red, white and blue sugarpaste (roll out icing). Here we have made cupcake and heart shaped biscuits, decorated them firstly in white sugarpaste and then cut strips of red and blue to represent the Union Jack. Finish the cupcakes off with a scattering of sprinkles and if you need to bag them up we even have Union Jack decorated cellophane bags.
