4 medium size green peppers1 1/2 pounds lean ground beef1 cup chopped onion1 cup cooked rice1/2 tsp. salt1/4 tsp. Ground Pepper Black 2 tsp. Italian Seasoning1/2 tsp. Garlic Powder2 cans (15 oz. each) tomato sauce1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheesePreheat oven to 400°F. Cut tops off of bell peppers and remove seeds. Brown ground beef and onion in large skillet. Drain excess fat. Add rice, Italian seasoning, garlic powder, salt and pepper; mix well. Place 1 can of the tomato sauce into bottom of 9-inch baking dish. Stuff peppers with beef mixture. Place stuffed peppers in baking dish. Pour remaining tomato sauce over stuffed peppers. Cover pepper with foil and bake 40 minutes until peppers are tender. Remove foil and sprinkle stuffed peppers with cheese. Place back in oven and bake 5 minutes until cheese is melted. Cut stuffed peppers in half and spoon tomato sauce over each half.
