Professional learning intended outcomes:We will differentiate to cater for individual needs:• Workshop aspects of units 1 – 10 by focusing on:–10 principles of second language acquisition (Ellis 2005)–which will include language input methodologies (Principle 6)– and language acquisition and use (Ps 1 + 6 + 7) – context – colour and animals
• Discuss assessment package in Hai and x-reference with NZC levels 1 +2 and Level one in Japanese in the New Zealand Curriculum.
• Interact with relevant websites, software, DVDs, videos and song and discuss their application to second language learning and culture
