WAYS TO GIVE

HEALTH EDUCATION FOR SPANISH SPEAKERSYour support allowed Planned Parenthood to launch Spanish language health education programs online to provide important health information and resources virtually. Women ages 25-34 logged on for the first event in the series which focused on parenting adults. More than 600 have viewed the event, which included participants from Puerto Rico and Costa Rica. Research shows that when parents have conversations with their youth, young people are more likely to delay sex.

A participant from the Facebook education event shared, “Muchas gracias por tanta información. Fabuloso todo el enlace y la información en español que nos ayuda.” (“Thank you for so much information. Everything is fabulous and the information in Spanish helps.”)

“I used Planned Parenthood’s services for years before the health center closed in 2013. I’m so happy to know my 18 year old daughter can now get checkups without insurance. The education that you provide is especially important as well. I can now send her in your direction to get any questions or concerns cleared up. I’m just so grateful for the resources that you bring back to the Lubbock area. Thank you!”
