January 5 ~The Epiphany of the Lord
We know this story so well it is a good example of perseverance. The Magi were determined to follow the star – “overjoyed at seeing the star. . . and on entering the house thy saw with the child with Mary his mother … and did him homage.” Our culture urges stars, stars famous for any number of reasons. But the question is, do they lead us to Christ? Maybe it’s time to take a lesson from the Magi and look for Christ. These other “stars” will come and go but Jesus Christ will never leave us!
Mary Iannuzzi is a spiritual companion/director in formation with the Spiritual Director Certification Program at St. Anthony Shrine & Ministry Center, Boston, MA. She would be happy to accompany you on your spiritual path. One-on-one meetings will take place at St Anthony’s Rectory in Shirley.
Please feel free to call her at 978-391-4359 or email her at [email protected], to set up an appointment.
Fr D and the Parish Staff would like to thank everyone for their kindness and mementoes at
Christmas time.
