Source: https://www.google.com/?gws_rd=ssl#safe=active&q=What+does+%27pie+in+the+sky%27+mean%-

A New Beginning ...I love this time of year. It’s a new year and a new beginning. It’s the time of year when disappointments of the past can be put behind you, and you can look to the future with hope and confidence. Anything and everything becomes possible again. Life is good, and you have the opportunity to make this year the best year of your life.

Change is good!It may sound a little ‘pie in the sky’ … you know, something pleasant to contemplate, but very unlikely to be realized … but it isn’t. You can look to the future and create a better one when you are willing to do things differently than you have done in the past.

I believe change is almost always a good thing. Consider changes our Companies have experienced in the past few years:

Tremendous growth in the number of UA/First UA Agents appointed

Major growth in our Home Office staff, in particular our Recruiters, Directors, and Trainers

 Additional webinars and live seminars

Development of the e-App for Medicare Supplement sales

Automated Appointment System Online Supply Order Form New Whole Life Products

Updated websites Increased Social Media interaction Extension in Agent Services hours

These changes have led to a substantial increase in recruiting and sales for UA and First UA, and I believe it will only get better as the year progresses.

What’s your resolution? One of my resolutions for 2015 is the same as it’s been for several years. I want to spread the UA/First UA opportunity to as many Agents as I possibly can. I want to spread the value of our ProCare Medicare Supplement insurance plans, our cancer plans, our accident plans, and our critical illness plan to both Agents and customers. But I’ve expanded my professional resolution for 2015. I want to make United American a household name when it comes to quality life insurance products, just the way we have for Medicare Supplements.

Many insurers focus almost exclusively on the under age 65 market for life sales – young families and individuals starting their professional lives. Life insurance is important at any age, but insurers have not pursued the Senior market to the same degree. United American is changing that with our new Whole Life for Final Expense policy. Available for issue ages 50-80 in most

approved states, this whole life policy was created to fill a void that's existed for too long in the Senior market. Our new Juvenile Whole Life policy addresses another segment of society often neglected in terms of life sales – children and young people, ages 0-18.

Original Medicare, a quality Medicare Supplement, and appropriate life products help create a safety net for Seniors and gives them the protection they need to deal with any eventuality.

You have only a few days left in the Medicare Advantage Disenrollment Period. Make the most of them! There are thousands of Seniors across the United States still waiting for you to knock on their door. Then get ready for the best year of your career!

is All About Helping You Plan Ahead!

Planning now

makes good

financial sense!

The last thing you want loved

when there’s a financial

burden.

It’s never easy to think about

what life would be like for

your family after you’re gone.

But planning now can help

your loved ones focus on

the life you lived, and less on

your final expenses.

Life Insurance For

Children

Ensures that cash will be there

Life is precious. Unfortunately, accidents and disease claim the lives of children every day. Consider that:

• Accidental injuries are the leading cause of death among children in the United States*.

• Cancer is the second leading cause of death among children age 1 – 24*.

Having money for final expenses provides financial protection when the unexpected happens. With United

American’s Juvenile Whole Life Policy you can get help with that protection.

Whole life policies accumulate cash value, so as the child ages the value of UA’s Juvenile Whole Life policy will also

grow.

Keeps the premium affordable

Premiums for United American’s Juvenile Whole Life policy are based on age, so the cost to you will never be

lower than it is now. Buy today and the affordable rate remains the same for life.

• Available for children ages 0-18

• Benefit amounts range from $1,000 to $25,000

• Terminal Illness Accelerated Benefit Rider (ABR1) is included at no additional cost. Upon satisfactory proof of

a terminal illness, this rider pays 50% of current benefits available prior to death (where state approved).

The company behind the coverage

Register for a life insurance training webinar on the UAGA Agent

website. This webinar introduces you to our Final Expense Whole Life

Insurance Policy for issue ages 50 to 80 and our Juvenile Whole Life

Policy for issue ages 0 to 18. Learn the fundamental principles of selling

life insurance and give your production a boost!

Life is good, and it’s going to get even better in 2015,

as we accelerate our life insurance sales efforts.

Director Bob Lochard and Assistant Director

Vinnie Coiro focus on the life market and can

help you every step of the way.

Young families aren’t the only people who

benefit from life insurance. As Seniors

age, they may become more aware of the

importance of final expense coverage. No

Senior wants to leave a son or daughter with

the expense of planning and paying for their

funeral. It makes sense to prepare in advance

and save loved ones the heartache, stress,

and financial burden.

In addition, when your prospect makes their

adult child or grandchild beneficiary of their

policy, the benefit can provide a financial

legacy, something your Senior policyholder

may not have the financial resources to give

otherwise.

To kick off your life insurance sales campaign,

offer younger prospects a $3,000 Accidental

Death Policy and existing Medicare

Supplement customers a no-cost Memorial

Guide and/or MedFacts Kit. Schedule a time

to stop by, and while you discuss the $3,000

ADP or help them complete the guide or kit,

transition to a discussion of life insurance

needs. Use marketing materials from the

General Agency website Ad Catalog in your

local newspaper or community bulletin and

send lead cards to generate interest in final

expense coverage.

When selling to Seniors during the Medicare Advantage Disenrollment Period (MADP), help prospects realize the true value of Medicare Supplement insurance plans by promoting their simplicity, ease of use, and stability:

f All Medicare Supplement insurance plans offer the same coverage no matter which company sells them. A Plan F offers the same benefits from every insurer.

f Once Medicare-eligible, Seniors may purchase a Medicare Supplement any time during the year.

f There are NO network restrictions!

f Seniors can see any doctor or go to any health facility that accepts Medicare patients.

f In most cases, Seniors do not need referrals to see a specialist.

f If Seniors have a Medicare Supplement insurance plan in conjunction with Original Medicare, they may have NO out-of-pocket costs for covered services.

f Seniors never have to worry about being canceled due to ill health as long as their premiums are paid on time.

f Medicare Supplement insurers do not contract with Medicare each year like MA insurers, so Seniors won’t worry about losing their plan and needing to find another.

Consider direct lead mailers too. Our suggested vendor list is on the Agent website, so check with Agent Services about using lead dollar credits to purchase leads.

Plexiglass stands in a doctor’s office or Senior center can also be a good source for potential prospects.

Distribute door hangers and place print ads in local newspapers and community bulletins to reach the local Senior population.

Promote UA and First UA Medicare Supplements using preapproved advertising materials from the UA and First UA Ad Catalogs on the Agent websites.
