Some Relevant Details: ‘PACKAGE ITEMS’

A. IN-SERVICE TEACHER - TRAINING (per School) [Offsite – through Skype]

Number of Training Sessions :

- At least 2 in Term I.

- At least 2 in Term II.

Scheduling of Sessions :

To arrange that these Sessions are held according to the convenience of the school, a

Parisar Asha Representative will contact you, to fix a schedule (date and time) when

these Training Sessions would be held.

Option I : Through Skype

Requirement from School : A good computer setup with internet, Presentation facilities,

skype, mike and speakers.

Option II : Onsite training

The actual cost of Parisar Asha training to be bare by the school, including stay, travel

and food.

B. PARENT - ORIENTATION INPUTS

The school can avail of the services of Parisar Asha to orient the parents of its students into

an understanding through a powerful Power Point Presentation of :

- the purpose of Parisar Asha’s ESAL

- the curriculum to be followed

- the Teaching - Learning Approach

- the role of every parent in this plan, towards providing confidence - building education.

Convenient dates and timings for such meetings can be fixed by mutual agreement.

C. MATERIALS for TEACHERS

1. The following materials will be provided to the Principal, to the Supervisor and to each

Teacher involved in the Programme :

(a) A copy of the Syllabus Plan, Time-Structured on a Month-Wise Basis, for the

Academic Year.

(b) Teaching Guidelines, to facilitate an effective Teaching / Learning Process that will

ensure learning-that-lasts, and productive use of each Worksheet.

(c) Formats for Continuous Assessment of Students at the Pre-Primary and Primary

Levels.

2. Teaching / Learning Apparatus, per Class :

- 1 set of Basic Teaching / Learning Apparatus, per Teacher, will be provided to the

school. This set of materials will then belong to the school, for future use.

D. MATERIALS for STUDENTS :

1. Worksheets/Activity Books which have been designed as a tool :

- to reinforce what the student has been led to internalize through the Teaching /

Learning activities conducted by the teacher

- to develop the student’s Written Communication Skills

- to provide every student with print materials for future reference and revision.

An important intervention – re. K.G. Workbooks, with each New Academic Year, the

existing Workbook will be enhanced by new supplementary Worksheets, incorporating

stimulating, innovative extensions.

The SUBJECTS covered by Books/Worksheets for the K.G. are indicated on the

following page, entitled ‘COST of SERVICES’.

Note Well : No workbooks / textbooks will be required.

The bare minimum of exercise books a student would require, should be

arranged for by the school. Kindly refer to pink sheets where this

requirement is indicated. The Supervisor’s sheet may please be detached and

given to him/her.

The Rationale behind Parisar Asha’s COST PER STUDENT Procedure.

AFFORDABILITY

(a) FOR ALL STUDENTS

It is common knowledge that schools, which provide students with workbooks from publishers,

tend to place a heavy financial burden on families belonging to the Lower Income Groups.

Parisar Asha’s sets of Worksheets, on the other hand, have been priced to bear in mind

affordability for financially-challenged families. The rates presented below, will bear this out.

N. B. : The bare minimum of exercise books a student would require, should be arranged for by

the school. Kindly refer to the enclosed loose sheet, where this requirement is indicated.

This sheet should be handed over to the Supervisor.

(b) FOR THE SCHOOL

The Cost Per Student covers Items A, B, C, and D (Refer Pages 2 & 3) in the Package of

Programme Services. Hence, the School incurs no financial outlay even as it avails of

Parisar Asha’s services to Teachers, Parents and Students.

Please note: For the package of services to be viable, the minimum number of students per

division needs to be 30.
