Precious Gems Academy is a 4,500 square foot facility located in Seffner in the SweetBay Plaza on the corner of Martin Luther King and Parsons Avenue. The preschool was developed to address the academic needs of our children in preparation for elementary school.

Research shows that providing a high quality education for children before they turn five produces significant long-term benefits. Studies, like The Abecedarian Project, indicate that children in quality preschool programs are less likely to repeat grades or need special education.

The academy uses the highly reputable “Creative Curriculum,” which for over a decade has helped teachers understand developmentally appropriate practices and how to create daily routines and meaningful experiences that respond to children’s strengths, interests and needs. It is our goal as teachers and caregivers to fulfill our motto: Laying the foundation for their future. Our objective is to instill confidence, independence and a love of learning in the children in this early yet impressionable time in their lives. We strive to create an environment where our children can discover and freely express their intellectual curiosities. Our founders hold graduate degrees in Elementary Education and they challenge our students in subjects such as reading, mathematics and music education. When we are not conducting science experiments, such as, exploring magnets, sink and float and bottle rockets, our students are taking part in dramatic plays, baking and gardening.

We also create an environment that is safe and secure since the well-being of our children is first

and foremost our number one priority. Our low teacher-to-student ratio allows for close monitoring of our students in addition to the one-on-one attention that accommodates different learning styles.

Precious Gems Academy is currently accepting enrollment for full and part time: Ages 6 weeks to 5 years-old. We accept School Readiness / VPK. The facility is open Monday - Friday 6:30 am -6:00 pm. Meals (breakfast, lunch, morning and afternoon snacks) are included in the tuition. We provide support to parents potty training at home from ages of 18 months.
