Chapparal Metro District It has been stated that the home- owners are unaware of the CMD and what they do for the community. They are a taxing district that was set up when the Chapparal community was developed and built. The Chapparal Metro District receives tax money from the City of Centennial, which is paid in our year- ly tax bill from the City of Centennial. The money is used for the upkeep of the pool, community entrances, and the open spaces in the community. This is one of the reasons our annual dues are significantly lower than most communities. The new stonewalls at the entrances were erected and paid for by the CMD. The CMD meets every month on the second Tuesday of the month at the fire station on Parker Road below Foxfield from 3-5 pm. They have five Board members. There is an election every year for the rotat- ing term limits. Elections will be held on May 6th, 2014. If you are interested in running for a seat you will need to send in a self nomi- nation form/letter 67 days before the election. For more information contact Sue Blair 303-381-4960. Current Board members are: Garry Cornish – President Gerry Weaver – Vice President Tom Lash – Treasurer James Neumann – Secretary Steve Cooper – Director Winners of the Trash Pick up 1. Alasdair W. - $15 which he donated to the 2nd & 3rd place winners. 2. James Wilcox - $10 3. Ben Wilcox - $5 Thank you to the communi- ty youth who participated in the neighborhood clean up. We can all do our part to keep the community looking clean. ACC Position Available The Association is looking for someone to volunteer for the ACC chairperson position. The ACC chairperson has been juggling two HOA jobs lately and is looking for someone to help out by taking the position. Contact Dan Hartman [email protected] if you are interested in being involved in your community. Dumpster Saturday Thank you to Wayne Lauer for once again encouraging our youth to help keep the neighbor- hood clean and the great job of etting everything into the dumpster. Also thank you to Dan Hartman and David Fletcher. Thank you to Ken MacDonald for providing the trailer for recycling large items and taking them to the recycler.
