I choose Jane Austen because of several reasons: she is one of my favorite writers; the way she writes is incredibly descripting, you can find yourself in the rural England of the XIX century in a matter of seconds like magic just with a few letters; You could see her as a pro-feminism writer and in her age that was a big thing. But the mayor reason was because to be someone who stands for woman’s and stereotypes, she became the best writer and person. Jane Austen was a writer whose novels, like pride and prejudice, earned her a place as one of the most widely read writers in English literature. Till this day her novels take an important place in the literature critics, because of her realism and biting social commentary. She was very critic about her society, mostly about the importance and the place that the women had back then, you can see this clearly when you read the character that are strong woman who stood against the marriage as only purpose and more. Jane Austen lived never moved alone; she always lived with her mother, sister, a close friend and few servants. Austen rose early, before the other women were up, and played the piano. At 9:00 she organized the family breakfast; after that she settled down to write in the sitting room, often with her mother and sister sewing quietly nearby. Dinner, the main meal of the day, was served between 3:00 and 4:00. Afterward there was conversation, card games, and tea. The evening was spent reading aloud from novels, and during this time Austen would read her work-in-progress to her family. In conclusion we could say that Jane Austen was and is one of the most important women in literature and a figure of feminism. She was a very critical of her society and I think we should take this too, because if we don’t see anything with a critical eye then we are hopeless. Jane Austen was not only a great writer and thinker but a true person too, I would like to be like her and I wish others would too.
