Shubhankar Gambhir, a student of Class XII of Sir Padampat Singhania School, Kota proved his mettle by scoring 100 percentile in IIT JEE Mains – 2019 result. 15 students scored 100 percentile across the country. Shubhankar is the Rajasthan Topper for this year. A Felicitation Ceremony was organized in the school to honour his spectacular achievement. Expressing his regard and gratitude, Shubhankar owed his success to the school and the teachers who mentored him in his journey of learning. The Principal, Mr. Pravin Kumar and the Vice Principal Ms. Monika Paliwal congratulated him on his daunting feat and wished him a bright and successful future ahead. The NCC cadets displayed their patriotic spirit through March Past and an enactment to inculcate values and encourage the students to join Sir Padampat Singhania School, Kota celebrated the 70 th Republic Day with great zeal and enthusiasm. The Principal, Mr. Pravin Kumar and the Vice Principal Ms. Monika Paliwal unfurled the National Flag followed by the National Anthem. The students presented a cultural programme which included songs, dance, drama the Armed Forces so that the youth can contribute to the fullest in building a strong and prosperous Nation. The Principal, Mr. Pravin Kumar addressed the students and motivated them to abide by the principles laid by our Constitution and always work for the progress of the Nation as responsible citizens. Chronicle Jan’ 19 In the academic calendar, January stands for fast approaching exams. Anxiety of the students‟ is palpable. Each passing day adds up to their stress. The key to de-stress lies in proper time management. Time management is a tool that enables students to use their time effectively and productively. We all are awarded 24 hours every day and if we use them carefully each and every target is attainable. So my dear students, make a time table and follow it carefully, take healthy diet and don‟t forget to unwind yourself by taking regular breaks and doing something that you enjoy. I am sure you all will come out with flying colours. SPSS Awarded as „Green School‟

group of 40 students were

taken to Kota Art Gallery on

28th January 2019, where the

paintings of famous and

renowned schools were

exhibited.

Our students got hands on

experience on various craft

activities like Pottery making,

Weaving, Block printing and

Mask making. Five students

also participated in canvas

painting activity. Out of 10

paintings, five paintings of our

students were part of the

exhibition. The exhibition was

supervision of Mr. Madan

Meena and Ms. Victoria.

It was truly a memorable and

learning experience for the

students where they got an

honour to interact with

experienced personalities and

not only learnt the finesse of

art and craft but also imbibed

various aspects of the same.

variety of activities, involving

making things with one‟s own

hands. Developing skills in art

and craft is very useful for

children as they learn creative

and imaginative skills through

these activities. Looking for an

opportunity to give exposure

to students and provide them

a wide horizon to explore, a

To enhance the vocabulary, pronunciation and interpretation of children a spell bee activity was

organized for classes I & II. The activity aimed not only at providing a platform to the kids for

learning spellings but also gave them an opportunity where they can conceive, comprehend and

conclude before answering. Every child took part with lots of vigour and enthusiasm. There were

four teams and each team had to answer four different segments of questions. Each team gave their

best performance and was a winner in one or the other way.

“Poetry is the rhythmical crea-

tion of beauty in words.”

Reading through books is not

the only medium of learning

but fun filled activities and

competitions also enhance the

learning process. In order to

instil a love for poetry and to

develop recitation skills

amongst the students a Hindi

Rec i ta t ion Compet i t ion

(BACHPAN) was organized on

January 24, 2019.

Students of Nursery, Junior KG

and Senior KG were all geared

up for their performance on

the stage. Rhymes like circus,

Thaili Hatao, Koshish karne

valon ki, Bachpan ke din,

Daakiya Aaya, Lala ji ne kela

khaya were presented on the

stage by the little ones.

Students were judged on the

parameters like confidence,

voice modulation, props and

overall presentation. All the

kids were filled with enthusi-

asm and excitement to

perform on the stage. These

kinds of activities help the

s t u d e n t s t o d e v e l o p

c o n f i d e n c e , i m p r o v e

vocabulary and get rid of their

stage fear.

you will keep getting better

and as you get better you gain

more confidence.”

Amidst the freezing cold

weather of new year 2019, the

students of “Sir Padampat

Singhania School” (Foundation

Wing) experienced some

respite as they were involved

in a palpable wave celebrating

„Lohri‟ and „Makar Sankranti‟

the festival of holy bonfire.

The campus boomed with

ecstasy and children participat-

ed with lot of enthusiasm. The

popular folk song of the

season was also joyously sung

by the teachers. Significance of

both the festivals were

explained. Children walked

around the fire, offering

puffed rice, peanuts, popcorns

and seasame. Class rooms

were decorated with colourful

Kites which were made by our

toddlers. Small kites were

taken home by the children.

The children went home with

lots of sweet memories.

held at Bhubaneshwar,

Odisha. She was awarded with

a gold medal and a certificate.

Sports are an integral part of school curriculum. Keeping this in concern Inter House Volleyball,

Kho-Kho and Football matched were conducted from 9th Jan. to 11

th Jan. 2019. The finals were

conducted on 11th January 2019. The finals were won by Surya House (Volleyball) the runner up

team was Pawan House, Surya House (Kho-Kho) and the runner up team position was bagged by

Sagar House. In Football Gagan House won the finals followed by Pawan House as runner up

team.

Inter House Volleyball, Kho-Kho, Football Tournament

Inter House Tournaments were conducted in the school premises. In Basketball tournament Sagar

House lifted the Winners Trophy and Gagan House was the Runner up.

In Cricket Surya House was the winner and Pawan House stood Runner up.
