Does anyone remember what a Helping Verb does????

A Helping Verb COMES BEFORE the Action verb and helps the action verb tell what the Subject is doing in the sentence (if there is a word before the verb and it IS NOT a noun it is probably a helping verb)

The dog is running to the park.

The horse can jump over the fence.

Now let’s find out what happened to Gideon!

Page 31: Jan 15
Page 32: Jan 15

If you put a buzzard in a box that is 6 feet by 8 feet and is entirely open at the top, the bird, even though it can fly, will stay in the box and be a prisoner.

The reason is that a buzzard always begins his flight from the ground with a run of 10 to 12 feet.  If he does not have this space to run, which is his habit, he will not even try to fly, but will stay in the box as a prisoner – even though the box does not have a top.

Who knows what a turkey vulture or buzzard is?????
