trespassing - The Harrisonburg

Police Department reported to

JMUPD that a JMU student

reported meeting three

unknown males in their early

30s. Two suspects were

described as wearing all black

with their faces showing. The

third was described as having

clown face paint, longer hair in

a bun, wearing a red plaid shirt

and blue jeans. She went with

the males willingly to the Days

Inn on Forest Hills Rd. At

approximately 1 a.m. on Nov. 2,

she decided to leave and the

males followed her to a friend’s

house in the 700 block of

Greenbrier Dr. The male with

the clown face paint followed

her into the residence

attempting to get her to come

back. A resident of the

townhouse told the suspect to

leave the townhouse which he

did. The three males then left

in an unknown direction.

Department reports on

11/03/2019, multiple HPD units

responded to the area of 1400

Devon Lane for a brandishing

and shots fired. Upon arrival a

Lyft driver was located at 865

East Port Republic Road stating

several people had just

assaulted him. He said to keep

from being assaulted further he

pepper sprayed some of the

suspects and had discharged his

firearm. Further investigation

revealed he had pulled into a

parking lot and almost struck

several individuals. They placed

their hands on his hood and

told him to stop. He proceeded

to drive forward anyway and

they began to beat on the

hood. He exited his vehicle and

sprayed one of the subjects

with pepper spray. An individual

struck him in the face. He then

drew his sidearm and

discharged his firearm into the

ground. He returned to his

vehicle and left the area but

was located. He was charged

with brandishing a firearm,

reckless handling of a firearm
