Unit 1 2.1 I will use Garageband because it

has simple user interface, it is easy to use and can do a variety of editing tools. I prefer to use Cubase because it is more useful and has more ways to edit and produce a track but Cubase is available so I will use Garageband because its available.

Audio Tracks:

These kind of track allow you to record sound from something like a microphone provided they are connect to your computer in something like a USB audio interface. You can also use them to record an electric guitar. Basically you use audio tracks to record any sound from outside of the computer

Software Instrument Tracks

These kind of tracks respond to MIDI data from any kind of controller. I have used a controller keyboard for all my MIDI data in my work across the course. Basically the software instrument records MIDI data coming in.

MIDI Tracks

These kind of tracks are similar to software instrument tracks but they also allow MIDI data to be sent of of a DAW to another MIDI bit of hardware like a drum machine. I have not used these as you can’t have them in garagband. I would need something like Cubase or Logic for these.

When creating my dance track I tried recording my own voice by setting up a microphone through a USB audio interface. I recorded myself counting 1,2,3,4 but I decided not to include it in my final mx as I didn’t really like how it sounded. This is what it looked like (1,2 only)

2.7I add echo so it can keep repeating the music can get more intense

I can also adjust the volume so it can fade out

Also I can put in a synth in the background so it can get with the other tracks

I want to put a shaker and maybe a dance beat together because it goes together and want to a hip-hop piece

Also I want I faster beat near The middle so it can go into The chorus

I put a high pass so it has drum bit with the other beats

Then I put a pause so i can Make other piece come in
