nce upon a time there was a dauntingly very handsome brilliant young dude - James Powell - and a hot fun loving chick - Jayna

Hooey they met back in college as razorback freshman at the University of arkansas fayetteville at the right time in the right place Here they crossed paths for the first time down the hill in Pomfret Hall long long years ago fall semester of the year 2000 neither of them felt that either would be interested in the other that freshman year but by the summer of 2002 Jayna felt the spark and built enough confidence to make a move

she made the mistake however of telling her friend tiffany about her new crush in the wrong time at the wrong place to Jaynarsquos surprise tiffany hooked them up immediately

as in right there at lunch in front of everyone in the cafeteria allegedly James already had a crush on Jayna so he says and things between them moved pretty quickly

their ldquosmash into yourdquo relationship moved too fast like it does with most 20 year olds who find each other irresistible they survived through an off again on again off again and back together again journey of a relationship for the next ohhhhhhellip ten years they fell deeply in love and are both proud to say that with godrsquos help they got it right the third time

on sunday evening november 11 2012 James surprised his future bride with a quiet intimate proposal at home over a five course meal which he carefully crafted and prepared himself

Natalie Gail (Willis) Hooey-Harris in the winter of 1982 at Wadley Hospital on Texas Boulevard Texarkana TX It was the sixth day of February a cold Saturday evening and although early for her due date she was just in time to meet everybody and party that Saturday night

She lives for the weekend what can we say She was a happy curious busy little girl She was an excited yet difficult and busy teenager She had big dreams to grow up one day and be you guessed it -all kinds of busy

Since a very young age she kept up a long active list of people places and things she wanted to meet be see do try re-do and have The opportunity came for her to venture away from the ALT (ArkansasLouisianaTexas) to the northwest corner of Arkansas in Fall of 2000 where she would become a University of Arkansas Razorback student There she learned to study got involved on campus and met some amazingly awesome and extraordinary people They were inspiring and she gravitated toward them quickly They became her extended family even until today so much so that shersquos marrying one of them ha

After finishing college she continued her career in public accounting In Little Rock AR until she realized being at work until 2 AM on Friday night turned into Saturday morning on a regular basis could not be life She relocated to the ATL (Atlanta GA) a new adventure She got a puppy ndash Stanley Jenkins ndash all 5 pounds of a fun-loving silky terrier

She met more solid good people who helped her become acclimated to the faster and more diverse southeast corner of the US of A She re-connected with James bought a condo in 2008 securing her more permanent stay in ATL but visited the ALT at least 4 times a year making sure not to get home sick She spent her first eighteen months as an ATLien in public accounting only to get picked up in corporate tax at Verizon Wireless in 2009

Over the years she dated this guy and that guy this other guy another guy dated dated hellipand dated again LOL All the broken roads lead back to her favorite the man that God provided for her from the beginning As happy curious exciting yet difficult and donrsquot forget busy as her past 31 years have been shersquos overjoyed about being able to experience a new long list of people places and things with the best guy ever James Herman Powell

He was a very good baby a reserved adolescent child that blossomed into a very sociable life of the party young man He was a great student and good athlete who had dreams of moving away from home and going to college

After graduating high school in the spring of 2000 he decided to attend the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville in the fall of that same year This would prove to be one of the best decisions he ever made While attending college he blossomed even more branched out and met a lot of great friends

He soon met the one woman that he knew was destined for him (she just didnrsquot know it yet) After graduating college he stayed in the Fayetteville area pursuing a career in Microbiology Life was good and life was easy but he was still missing something After two years of just going through the motions he heard from the one person Jayna that he felt could fulfill what seemed to be missing After a few visits to Atlanta he decided to relocate to Atlanta to be closer to Jayna and to pursue more opportunities in his career

Over the years there have been many jobs a change in career path to public health growing pains ups and downs maturity as well as many mistakes However he never gave up on God and God never gave up on him When he least expected it the one person that could fill what seemed to be missing came back into his life and his faith proved true

Now he is very thankful excited and blessed to be able to begin this new journey with Jayna Cie Hooey whom he believes God intended for his life

Eddie Karl and Natalie Gail Harris recently got married in June 2011 and have been happily settled out west in Lubbock TX

Karl and Natalie enjoy attending football games at Texas Tech helping with their churchrsquos activities hosting Bible study and dancing Jaynarsquos father the late Jay Clinton Hooey will be missed but we are happy and secure in knowing that he is present in spirit

She lives for the weekend what can we say She was a happy curious busy little girl She was an excited yet difficult and busy teenager She had big dreams to grow up one day and be you guessed it -all kinds of busy

Since a very young age she kept up a long active list of people places and things she wanted to meet be see do try re-do and have The opportunity came for her to venture away from the ALT (ArkansasLouisianaTexas) to the northwest corner of Arkansas in Fall of 2000 where she would become a University of Arkansas Razorback student There she learned to study got involved on campus and met some amazingly awesome and extraordinary people They were inspiring and she gravitated toward them quickly They became her extended family even until today so much so that shersquos marrying one of them ha

After finishing college she continued her career in public accounting In Little Rock AR until she realized being at work until 2 AM on Friday night turned into Saturday morning on a regular basis could not be life She relocated to the ATL (Atlanta GA) a new adventure She got a puppy ndash Stanley Jenkins ndash all 5 pounds of a fun-loving silky terrier

She met more solid good people who helped her become acclimated to the faster and more diverse southeast corner of the US of A She re-connected with James bought a condo in 2008 securing her more permanent stay in ATL but visited the ALT at least 4 times a year making sure not to get home sick She spent her first eighteen months as an ATLien in public accounting only to get picked up in corporate tax at Verizon Wireless in 2009

Over the years she dated this guy and that guy this other guy another guy dated dated hellipand dated again LOL All the broken roads lead back to her favorite the man that God provided for her from the beginning As happy curious exciting yet difficult and donrsquot forget busy as her past 31 years have been shersquos overjoyed about being able to experience a new long list of people places and things with the best guy ever James Herman Powell

He was a very good baby a reserved adolescent child that blossomed into a very sociable life of the party young man He was a great student and good athlete who had dreams of moving away from home and going to college

After graduating high school in the spring of 2000 he decided to attend the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville in the fall of that same year This would prove to be one of the best decisions he ever made While attending college he blossomed even more branched out and met a lot of great friends

He soon met the one woman that he knew was destined for him (she just didnrsquot know it yet) After graduating college he stayed in the Fayetteville area pursuing a career in Microbiology Life was good and life was easy but he was still missing something After two years of just going through the motions he heard from the one person Jayna that he felt could fulfill what seemed to be missing After a few visits to Atlanta he decided to relocate to Atlanta to be closer to Jayna and to pursue more opportunities in his career

Over the years there have been many jobs a change in career path to public health growing pains ups and downs maturity as well as many mistakes However he never gave up on God and God never gave up on him When he least expected it the one person that could fill what seemed to be missing came back into his life and his faith proved true

Now he is very thankful excited and blessed to be able to begin this new journey with Jayna Cie Hooey whom he believes God intended for his life
