Today, I stand in front of you, our family and our friends and most

importantly God, thanking you for making me the person I am today,

without you, I will never be able to be me and with these promises, I

pledge my life to you, you are my beginning and my end, my reason

for being, my everything. I promise to always respect and accept you

for the person you are, the person I fell in love with, to always take

care of you, better than I can take care of myself, to always protect

you and our marriage with my life. With you by my side, I can take

on the world. I won’t allow anything or anyone to ever come between

us. I promise to always provide for you, everything you will ever need.

I will always put your happiness before my own. I promise to trust

you, the way you trust me. I promise that I will support you, whatever

it takes, when it comes to you, I have learnt that nothing is impossible,

I will make a plan. I promise to always be the first person to pick

you up when you fall. I promise to never give up on us, even in the

toughest of times. I promise to be there for you, not only for better

or worse, but every single day, for the rest of our lives. I will be your

backbone and your cornerstone. I will be the most dependable person

in your life. I will treat you like my Queen and for you, I will be your

King. I will love you unconditionally from this day forward, until death

Our journey has been slow at times, but it has been just as adventurous,

with a lot of up and downs, and in the end it has been just that…OURS.

When two people are meant for each other, no time is too long, no distance

is too far and no one can tear them apart. We have always said that if we

were given the opportunity to redo it all, we would do everything exactly the

same because it led us to today. I have never believed in love at first sight,

but I have always believed in true love and shortly after I met you, I knew

that I had found my soul mate, I have known for a very long time that I

want to spend the rest of my life with you. Jakobus, today I stand before

you and I promise to love you unconditionally, you are my one true love,

you always have been and you always will be. I love you without knowing

how or when or from where. I love you straightforwardly, without com-

plexities or pride, so I love you because I know no other way. Your heart

and mind inspires me to be the best person I can be, therefore I promise

to support and encourage you in your goals. I will help you and I promise
