Vision of JMCTo cater the growing needs of the city by providing suitable services.

To carry out city renovation and beautification projects like maintenance of heritage

sites, parks, roads, subways, bridges etc.

To provide the best amenities that too in the most proficient manner

Providing waste water management,

collection of garbage on a regular basis from all over the city

To carry out maintenance and development work in the city

To develop recreation centers in different part of the city.

Zones and wards of JMCThere are 91 wards in the Corporation divided into 8 zones of Moti Dungri

Zone comprises wards No. 51,53,54,59,60,61,62,64,65.

Hawa Mahal East comprises wards No. 63,66,67,68,69,70,71,72,73,85,86.

Hawa Mahal West comprises wards No. 74,75,77,78,83,84.

Vidyadhar Nagar comprises wards No. 1 to 14,23,24,25,79,80,81,82.

Civil Line comprises wards No. 15 to 22, 26,27,28,30,56,57,58,76.

Sanganer comprises wards No. 35 to 39 ,45,46,47,48,49,50,52.

Amber comprises wards No. 87 to 91.

Mansarovar comprises wards No. 29, 31,32,33,34,40,41,42,43,44,55.



With the Registrar of Companies (ROC) issuing the ‘Certification of Formation’ for the special purpose vehicle (SPV), Jaipur Smart City Ltd took shape to implement the Central Government’s Smart Cities Mission project in Jaipur.

The first director board meeting of the Jaipur Smart City Ltd for implementing the Smart City Mission will be convened on April 6. The special purpose vehicle has been formed under the Companies Act-2013.

Under SPV Jaipur Smart City Limited, Ten member committee has been formed under the SPV in which Principal Secretary (LSG) Dr. Manjit Singh, Mayor Mr. Nirmal Nahata, JMC Commissioner Mr. Ashutosh A.T. Pednekar, JDC Mr. Shikhar Agarwal, Jaipur Collector Mr. Krishna Kunal, Additional Commissioner JMC Mr. Rakesh Sharma have been included as board of directors.

The SPV will plan, appraise, approve, release funds, implement, manage, operate, monitor and evaluate the Smart City development projects.

SPV will be a public limited company incorporated under the Companies Act 2013 to implement the smart city project

Company will be promoted by an urban local body (ULB)

ULB and state government will have equal shareholding in SPV, and together will have majority shareholding.Private sector and financial institutions can also be shareholders with minority stake.

CEO will be appointed with approval of the ministry of urban development.

CEO will formulate and submit human resource policy to the board of directors.

On the eve of Holi Fagostav Festival has been organised by Sanskriti Samiti of Jaipur Municipal Corporation, various cultural events has been organised at Agra Road, Jaipur in the presence of Honorable Mayor Mr. Nirmal Nahata, Honorable Deputy Mayor Mr. Manoj Bhardwaj, chairman of cultural committee of JMC Ms. Kusum Yadav.


Jaipur Municipal Corporation is framing bylaws for making terrace vegetable farming mandatory.“Under the smart city mission, JMC are working on framing bylaws to make city terraces green.We picked this cue from some foreign countries where partially covering the rooftops of new buildings with plants or solar panels is a must. We are planning to replicate the same in Jaipur.

Some demonstrations on how to grow vegetables on rooftops have already been done at JMC headquarters.

For this, what is required is a plant-growing kit comprising light-fibre `grow bags’. A variety of vegetables, including leafy ones, tomatoes, brinjal and chillies can be grown on the terrace with the help of the kit. “We have received a proposal from six companies so far out of which three have started the demonstration process. Other companies that are interested are welcome.

A Meeting for the development of Chandpole Mokshdham has been conducted in the presence of Honorable Mayor Mr. Nirmal Nahata in which suggestions have been taken from the citizens in order to make the Mokshdham an Ideal Mokshdham.
