Who has rights to data?

Who is responsible for JAINA/JainLink: JAINA – Long Range Planning Committee Partners in JainLink include: other centers, organizations, groups, etc.

Who owns the data: JAINA. Individual centers that have shared their mailing list jointly own the data for

their Jain Center

If JAINA decides to not support this, what happens to the data Data can be exported to Excel spread sheet. There will be no loss of data.

Who will JainLink information be shared with JAINA Local Jain Centers for only their members

Will the members be bombarded with emails, solicitations, etc. No. Plan is for a newsletter 1x per month and any current/urgent relevant information. Individuals can control if they want Group administrators will manage their own groups

Security, Privacy – key to mass adoption

JainLink has a high degree on security and privacy features It’s up to us to establish policies which everyone buys into

Individuals control his/her own profile, “visibility” to others Other than name and e-mail, all other profile items can be hidden by

individuals Only approved centers/organizations can access other information

Individual “GROUP” controls it’s own privacy policy

JainLink will establish strict policy for administrators – work in progress Initial policy must be blessed by legal and participating organizations Multiple layers of approval required for any change in access rights Propose to recruit a team of technical expert in this area from our

community

Solution – Need to “touch” our membership, volunteers, Jain Centers and offer them “fresh” content and services

Connect – Communicate - Collaborate

Connect With family, friends, people of

similar interest Example: Physicians, Cisco, from

Surat, India, mix marriage groups Communicate

Form groups Generate and consume content

(news, events, audio, video, updates, etc.)

Collaborate Work on projects Get volunteers Example: High school

presentation, develop Jain material, etc.
