Testing Continues!
Please continue to make sure your child is
well rested. It is extremely important to get
plenty of sleep and each morning, that he/she
has a good nutritious breakfast. Teachers
begin testing promptly at 9am, so arriving on
time is also very important. Most of all be
positive and express confidence that your
child will be able to handle the tests well.
Thanks to those of you who are taking the
“TV/Video Free Challenge Week. Television
cuts into family time, harms our children’s
ability to read and succeed in school, inhibits
creativity and contributes to unhealthy life-
styles and obesity. Here are just a few facts:
On average, children will spend more time in
front of the TV (1,023 hours) than in school
this year (900 hours)
40% of Americans frequently or always watch
TV during dinner.
54% of 4-6 year olds when asked would rather
watch TV than spend time with their fathers
Encouraging your entire household to partici-
pate will make the experience much easier
and more enjoyable. Check out more informa-
tion and facts at
http://www.tvturnoff.org/week.htm
Thank you!
