Why Did We Have The Name of the Cardinals?

• We had the name of the Cardinals because the people at Treehaven wanted two groups from the class, so Mr. Loretz named this group the Cardinals. He named us the Cardinals because he thought we might see a Cardinal out in Treehaven, but the group Cardinals

didn’t see a Cardinal.

All About Beavers

The Beaver Station• The beaver’s tail is very

powerful. The beaver’s tail is used for smacking their tail down on the water to warn other beavers that danger is coming. They also they use it for storing NRG, and use it to steer. One other thing they use it for is a kick stand for when they are cutting

down trees for their dam.

Old Time Logging

The Logging Station • You get paid a lot of money

when you are a logger. The harder and unsafe your job is the more money you get. When the Cardinals were at this station we got do some things that loggers do when they are working. We got to use the old time cross cut saw, and got to cut a piece of wood with a partner in the Cardinals group. We also got to use anther tool. This tool was used for loading heavy wood onto a skid steer, and for moving very heavy wood out of the path for loggers. We also learned more about Wisconsin. One other thing that the cardinals learned was how much money we get for different jobs, and that is what we did at the logging station.
