!!The cell and it’s organelles!!
Describing the cell organelles and how they relate to our school(ehs)
By: jacqueline evet porter
Animal cell organelles
•The nucleus: contains the chromatin, nucleolus, and the nuclear envelope•The ribosomes•The golgi apparatus•The plasma membrane•The mitochondrion•Lysosomes•The cytoskeleton: contains microfilaments, intermediate filaments, and microtubules•Microvill•Perosisomes•Centrosomes•Flagellum •Endoplasmic reticulum: rough and smooth
Plant cell organelles
•The nucleus•Golgi apparatus•Mitochondrion•Peroxisomes•Plasma membrane•Cell wall•Plasmodesmata•Chloroplast•Microtubules•Cytoskeleton central vacuole•Tonoplast •Ribosomes•Endoplasmic reticulum
The cell nucleus•The central and most important part of an object, movement, or group, forming the basis for its activity and growth.•this would be the principal’s office…•the nucleolus is the principal
the lysosomes•The digestive organelle where macromolecules are hydrolyzed•This would be like the garbage cans
The mitochondrion
•The organelle where cellular respiration occurs and most atp is generated•This would be the cafeteria…
The endoplasmic reticulum
•The network of membranous sacs and tubes; active in membrane synthesis and other synthetic and metabolic processes, has rough and smooth•Er is the walkways of the school•Smooth er: empty walkways•Rough er: when walkways are full of students
The vacuole•The prominent organelle in older plant cells•The room where they keep our records
The cell wall•Outer layer that maintains cell’s shape and protects cell from mechanical damage•The border line of the school
The ribosomes
•Nonmembranous organelles that make proteins; free in cytoplasm or bound to rough er or nuclear envelope•These would be the students
The golgi apparatus
•Organelle active in synthesis, sorting, and secretion of cell products•Test prep rooms
The chloroplast
•Photosynthetic organelle; converts energy of sunlight to chemical energy stored in sugar molecules•This would be the greenhouse
The cytoplasm
•The cytoplasm consists of all of the contents outside of the nucleus and enclosed within the cell membrane•This would be our campus
The cell membrane
•a thin semi-permeable membrane that surrounds the cytoplasm of a cell, enclosing its contents. Its function is to protect the integrity of the interior •This would be the doors of the school
