Professional Grade Commercial Applications

• Sports Fields

• Parks

• Institutional Grounds

• Golf Course Roughs

• Roadside Areas

Proven to handle the toughest of commercial applications.

The Jacobsen® R-311™ Wide Area Rotary Mower is a cost-effective mowing solution for challenging turf found at sports

fi elds, parks, institutional grounds, golf course roughs and roadside areas. Reliable and easier to maintain, the R-311

is ergonomically designed to enhance the entire operator experience.

Outstanding Reliability

Unlike other wide area mowers that rely on pulleys and belt drives that can break, slip or need

constant adjustment, the R-311 features commercial-duty hydraulic motors that individually

power each blade. Fewer wear parts means less downtime. Uptime is further optimized

because routine service and maintenance is quick and easy. A few examples: the hood folds

back, allowing unrestricted access to the engine compartment; the front deck fl ips up for easy

cleaning, blade inspection and greasing; and the seat pan fl ips up or can be removed to access

the hydraulics. Superior reliability and uptime are what the R-311 is all about.

Comfort and Safety

The R-311 is designed with both comfort and safety in mind. An ergonomic cockpit has all

controls within close reach of the operator; the controls and foot pedals are intuitive for ease

of use; the console also features a convenient storage area, a cup holder and charging outlet

for a radio or cell phone. The standard air-ride suspension seat cradles the operator and is

positioned for greater visibility and ease of adjustment. A new foldable ROPS provides easy

access to low height areas like covered trailers or sheds, and also allows mowing under low

hanging branches. All-day operator comfort and confi dence heightens the R-311’s productivity.

Exceptional Cutting Performance

Integrated into the design of the R-311 are numerous Jacobsen components that have long

proven to be the industry standard for professional cutting performance. Newly designed

elements have also been incorporated, like beveled blades that effortlessly slice through the

tallest, thickest grass. These blades create a beautifully manicured result, while requiring less

power. They also help to lower fuel consumption and noise levels, which benefi ts the owner,

the operator and the surrounding environment.

Lower Cost of Ownership

The beveled blades plus the hydraulic and mechanical drive train systems working in combination

reduce fuel consumption, decrease noise pollution and deliver more cutting power—that’s

what owners need. The commercial-duty reliability and ease of maintenance greatly reduce

downtime—that’s what technicians want. The ergonomic and safety features enhance comfort

and elevate productivity—that’s what operators appreciate. Bottom line: The R-311 is one

outstanding and cost-effective rotary mower.

COST-EFFECTIVE

SOLUTION

y.

A new foldable ROPS provides easy access to low height areas like covered trailers or sheds, and also allows mowing under low hanging branches.

Commercial-duty hydraulic motors drive each individual blade, which reduces downtime because there

are no drive belts to break, stretch under load, adjust or maintain.

New limited slip front axle and larger capacity hydraulic

axle drive motor deliver more hill-climbing ability, making it

easier and safer to navigate diffi cult terrain. The higher

effi ciency also contributes to the improved fuel economy.

The beveled blades plus the hydraulic and mechanical drive train systems working in combination reduce fuel consumption and decrease noise pollution, while delivering more cutting power.

Cockpit is ergonomically designed to maximize operator comfort,

which in turn elevates productivity over the course of a long workday.

Front deck fl ips up for easy cleaning, blade

inspection and greasing.

Operator controls and foot pedals are intuitive for ease of use.

Air-ride suspension seat cradles the operator in comfort and is positioned for greater visibility and ease of adjustment.
