The Jumbo Shrimp (11-21 second half, 39-61 overall) took a 2-0 lead in the bottom of the first inning. Montgomery right-hander J.D. Martin walked left fielder Braxton Lee, designated hitter Brian Miller hit a one-out single, and shortstop Joe Dunand hit a two-run double down the right-field line. In the bottom of the second inning, third baseman Brian Schales and catcher Rodrigo Vigil hit consecutive singles, and center fielder Monte Harrison hit a sacrifice fly to make it 3-0. The Biscuits (17-15, 54-48) tied the game in the top of the third inning against Jacksonville right-hander Max Duval. Center fielder Thomas Milone singled, right fielder Nathan Lukes walked, and designated hitter Nate Lowe hit a two-run double before scoring on first baseman Mike Brosseau’s RBI single. Montgomery took a 4-3 lead in the fourth inning, when left fielder Peter Maris doubled, catcher David Rodriguez singled, Milone walked, and Lukes grounded into a double play that scored a run. Duval allowed four earned runs on five hits and four walks with two strikeouts in four innings. Jacksonville retook the lead in the bottom of the fifth inning against right-hander Brandon Lawson. Harrison singled, first baseman Eric Jagielo walked, right fielder John Norwood hit a two-out, game-tying double, and second baseman Justin Twine hit a go-ahead RBI single. Montgomery tied the game with four sixth-inning walks by right-hander Lukas Schiraldi. In the 10th inning, right-hander Jose Pena allowed Brosseau’s home run and walked the next three batters before Rodriguez and Milone hit consecutive RBI singles. Guerrero was placed on Miami’s disabled list on July 5, retroactive to July 4, with a left lumbar strain. Prior to his injury, Guerrero was 1-2 with a 4.28 ERA in 41 relief outings for the Marlins, with 54 strikeouts in his 40 innings of work. This is the first year for Guerrero in the majors with the Marlins, and he did appear in one game for the San Diego Padres in 2016. That summer he was traded to the Marlins along with Andrew Cashner and Colin Rea in exchange for Jarred Cosart, Carter Capps, Luis Castillo, and Josh Naylor. Guerrero pitched parts of the last two seasons for Jacksonville, going 1-1 with a 1.93 ERA with four saves in 12 outings in 2016. With the Jumbo Shrimp last year, Guerrero was 0-1 with a 3.38 ERA in 17 relief outings. Guerrero, 27, is a native of Boca Chica, Colombia, and grew up on the small island of Isla Tierra Bomba. Guerrero’s story of going from the island by boat to the only baseball field in the area and then walking two hours through a snake-infested jungle to get back home made headlines this offseason. Guerrero worked a scoreless seventh inning in Saturday’s game at Pensacola. Guerrero also worked a scoreless inning on Tuesday night, and is expected to pitch again tonight to prove he can pitch in back-to-back games. Twine Time: Justin Twine is off to a terrific start at the Double-A level with the Jumbo Shrimp. He has hit safely in his first five games with the Jumbo Shrimp, with multi-hit games in four of those games. Twine at the plate is 10-for-19 (.526) with a pair of runs batted in. He joined the Jumbo Shrimp from High-A Jupiter on July 19 as the corresponding move for Isan Diaz’s promotion to Triple-A. Twine hit .235 with three home runs and 31 runs batted in during 70 games to begin the season with the Hammerheads. Twine, 22, was originally selected by the Marlins in the second round of the 2014 draft out of Falls City High School in Falls City, Texas. Biscuits in Town: Bring on the Biscuits. This the final of three series between the clubs in 2018. The Jumbo Shrimp won three of five games at Montgomery in mid-May, while the Biscuits swept the Jumbo Shrimp their last visit here from late June to early July in a six-game series. TONIGHT’S  JUMBO  SHRIMP  STARTING  PITCHER  12  –  ROBERT  DUGGER,  RHP                                  2-­4,  5.56  ERA,  10  games  and  10  starts   2018 w/JAX: 2-4, 5.56 ERA (34 ER/55.0 IP) in 10 G and 10 GS. 2018 vs. MTG: 0-0, 19.29 ERA (5 ER/2.1 IP) in 1 G and 1 GS. 2018 Overall: 5-5, 4.20 ERA (45 ER/96.1 IP) in 17 G and 17 GS. CAREER vs. MTG: Same. CAREER: 13-12, 3.59 ERA (101 ER/253.0 IP) in 60 G and 41 GS. LAST START: Dugger suffered a loss in his start on Friday July 20 against the Pensacola Blue Wahoos at Blue Wahoos Stadium. Dugger worked six innings where he allowed two runs (one earned) on seven hits with two walks and seven strikeouts as Jacksonville lost 3-0.

SHUCKERS LOSS: Dugger took a loss in his start on Sunday July 15 against the Biloxi Shuckers at the Baseball Grounds. Dugger worked six innings where he allowed six runs on five hits with four walks and six strikeouts as Jacksonville lost 6-4 in a game that began with a two-hour, 34-minute rain delay.

LAST BISCUITS START: Dugger had a no decision in his start in Game Two of Jacksonville’s doubleheader with the Montgomery Biscuits on Sunday July 1 at the Baseball Grounds. Dugger worked two and a third innings, allowing five runs on four hits with four walks and a strikeout. Jacksonville originally led 7-0 after the first inning, but lost 18-9.

PROSPECT: Dugger is regarded by MLB.com as the Marlins No. 22 prospect for the 2018 season. He is one of nine top 30 Marlins prospects that are on Jacksonville’s pitching staff, along with rotation mates Nick Neidert (8), Merandy Gonzalez (13), and Jordan Yamamoto (19).

2018 WITH JUPITER: Dugger started the 2018 season in the High-A Florida State League with the Jupiter Hammerheads where he was a 2018 Florida State League Midseason All-Star. With Jupiter, Dugger was 3-1 with a 2.40 ERA in seven starts, striking out 34 batters compared to seen walks in 41 and a third innings of work. In April, Dugger was 2-1 with a 3.14 ERA in his five starts. In May, DUgger was 1-0 with a 0.71 ERA in his two outings. At the time of his promotion to Jacksonville on May 18, Dugger was seventh in the league with a 2.40 ERA, and had the fifth-lowest walks per nine innings ratio at 1.52 among starting pitchers.

From Mariners with RHP Nick Neidert, INF Chris Torres and future considerations in exchange for IF/OF Dee Gordon on Dec. 7, 2017. 2018 Highlights: Dugger started the 2018 season in the High-A Florida State League with the Jupiter Hammerheads where he was a 2018 Florida State League Midseason All-Star. With Jupiter, Dugger was 3-1 with a 2.40 ERA in seven starts, striking out 34 batters compared to seen walks in 41 and a third innings of work. In April, Dugger was 2-1 with a 3.14 ERA in his five starts. In May, DUgger was 1-0 with a 0.71 ERA in his two outings. At the time of his promotion to Jacksonville on May 18, Dugger was seventh in the league with a 2.40 ERA, and had the fifth-lowest walks per nine innings ratio at 1.52 among starting pitchers. 2017 Highlights: Split the season between Single-A Clinton in the Midwest League and High-A Modesto in the California League. With the Clinton Lumberkings, Dugger was 4-1 with a 2.00 ERA in 22 appearances and nine starts. As a starter, went 3-0 with a 1.18 ERA in nine starts after starting the season in the bullpen. With Clinton, he was honored as a 2017 Midwest League Midseason All-Star. Finished the season with the Modesto Nuts, going 2-5 with a 3.94 ERA in nine starts. 2016 Highlights: After he was selected by the Mariners in the 18th round of the 2016 draft out of Texas Tech, Dugger spent time at three different levels of the Mariners system. He started with the AZL Mariners where he made four appearances in relief, with no wins or losses and a 1.04 ERA. In late July he was sent to Triple-A Tacoma, where he worked two games in relief, with no wins or losses and a 6.75 ERA. He finished the season with the Everett AquaSox in the Short Season Class A Northwest League, where he was 2-1 with a 5.47 ERA in six starts.
