Today’s Game: Jackson’s six-game set against Tennesssee (Chicago Cubs) cotinues with a doubleheader atSmokies Stadium on Sunday starting at 1:05 pm ET...It is the rst ofcial twinbill for Jackson this season, but it is

already the third for Tennessee...Danny Hultzen is scheduled to make his third start with Jackson in his return from

shoulder surgery in 2013 in the rst game

Versus Tennessee: This is the second series between the Generals and Smokies this season. Tennes-see has won three of the rst ve contests...The two squads were limited to four games due to rain at The Ballpark

at Jackson in April, so they will play six times--with a doubleheader Sunday--this series...The teams split the rstfour meetings of the season, with Jackson taking the rst two games and the Smokies winning the last two.

Tennessee outscored Jackson 22-6 in their two wins...The Generals hit just .188 (24-for-128) in those four games.

Dario Pizzano went 5-for-12 with his lone homer of the year in three games...Dan Vogelbach led the way for the

Cubs’ Double-A afliate, going 5-for-16 with two homers, three doubles and six RBIs in those four contests.

Let’s Play Two: Jackson is playing in its rst ofcial doubleheader of 2015 today, though this is not therst time that the Generals have played twice in one day this season...On April 16, the Generals played the nal

seven innings of a suspended contest against Mississippi before playing a seven-inning game against the Braves.

The rst game technically occurred on April 15, as that’s when it started...The Smokies played a split day-night

doubleheader on Tuesday to honor the late Ernie Banks. Tennessee took the morning game at Smokies Stadium.

They also swept a twinbill in Pensacola on May 6...The Generals played in ve doubleheaders last year, going 7-3

    in those contests.

Zych Gets The Call: Righty Tony Zych did not make his return to Kodak with Jackson, as he waspromoted to Triple-A Tacoma yesterday. He struck out a pair in two scoreless innings in his Triple-A debut...The

hard-throwing reliever spent parts of the last four seasons in Tennessee as a mamber of the Cubs’ organization...

Seattle acquired Zych from Chicago just prior to the start of 2015. He did not allow a run in seven of his nine

appearances for Jackson, striking out 11 without walking a batter in 11.1 innings for the Generals.

All About That (Stolen) Base: The Generals set a season-high with ve stolen bases in their8-6 win over Biloxi on Friday night. Jack Reinheimer set a career-high with three swiped bags of his own in the

contest. He leads Jackson with nine steals, which is tied for the fth-most of any Southern League player...Tyler

Smith and Steve Baron also picked up a stolen base for Jackson...Jackson’s 28 steals are fth-most of any team in

the circuit. Jackson has been the most efcient team in the league on the bases this season, as the Generals have

only been caught three times in 31 attempts (90.3% success rate).

Honey, You Think KFC’s Still Open?: Outelder Dario Pizzano, who did not play in lastnight’s series opener, wasted no time stretching his record hit streak to 24 games Friday. He singled to right eld

in his rst-inning at-bat against Jorge Lopez as part of a 1-for-4 effort that included a run and a walk as well...He is

hitting .398 (39-for-98) over this stretch...Pizzano struck out twice, which set a season-high. He has been punched

out just eight times in 105 at-bats coming into tonight...His streak broke the previous record, Jeff Frazier’s 20-

game stretch with the 2007 West Tenn Diamond Jaxx (April 22 to May 14)...Pizzano’s active hitting streak is also

the best stretch for any player in all of afliated baseball (MLB and MiLB) this season and the best mark of his

professional career...He has also hit safely in 26 of his 27 appearances this season with a team-high 12 multi-hit

efforts...The only game when Pizzano was held hitless was Jackson’s rain-shortened 0-0 tie game at the Jackson-

ville Suns on April 13...Pizzano was 0-for-2 and was scheduled to lead off the eighth inning before rain stopped thecontest in the seventh.
