"Action in the North Atlantic,' Warner Bros.' thrilling drama about the men of the Unitet States Merchant Marine, is now playing at the Lomita theater Starring Humphrey Bogart, th< picture tells of the heroic ex ploits of our merchant seamen who ship out in convoys to de liver the needed supplies and ammunition to our fighting fronts.
Others in the cast are Ray mond Massey, Alan Hale, D; nt Clark, Julic Bishop, Sam Levene J. M. Kerrigan, Ruth Gordon and Dick Hogan. Directed by Lloyd Bacon, "Action in the North Atlantic" is based upon a screen play by John Howard Lawson from a story by Guy Gilpatric, noted writer of sea stories.
The plot of "Action in the North Atlantic" deals with the adventures of the Liberty Ship, "Sea Witch," as it successfully reaches its destination, Mur mansk, despite tlie efforts of Hitler's U-boats and Luftwaffe to stop it.

New Strip-Tease Feature of Film Showing at Plaza
.Stephanie Bachelor, who plays one of the leading roles in "Lady of Burlesque," the film adapter from Gypsy Rose Leo's populai novel, "G String Murders,' which is coming to the Plaz; theater, Hawthorne, on Satur day, through United Artists re lease, lias discovered a new way to remove her hat and coat, bin it's a 20-to-l bet she won't let it become a habit.
In a Russian dance she does in the film, her partner is a Cossack who wields a big whip At the climax of her dance, lie cracks his whip and sends hoi astrakhiin hat whirling into the wings. Then, as she continues to dance provocatively, the Rus sian whisks her long, flimsy coat from her shoulders with a long lash, just as deftly as a French maid.
At first Miss Bachelor was timid about this sensational dance. "I'm afraid that some day he might feel a little off and take off an ear instead of my hat," she Klid.
