Department of Commerce, aims to be an institute of foremostinternational and national repute, cherishing the distinguishedhistory of Delhi School of Economics that it is nestled in, whileat the same time imparting world class knowledge to its selectgroup of competent students and turning them into keyenablers of considerable pedigree, in the twin fields of HumanResources and International Business.

To provide a conducive environment that holistically engagesstudents through an all–encompassing knowledge impartationand comprehensive practical applications, thus molding theminto future visionaries, management leaders that arebenevolent yet efficacious, versed in the leading business andhuman resource practices of the world and equipped to the hiltto implement themselves and adapt to the mutable globalbusiness environment.

Specialize students in the post globalization era of internationalbusiness and the understanding of pan industry employeerelations. To learn from industry mavens from diverse fields,with key focus on practical implementations of theoreticalideas. To create leaders who are not just great achievers butalso compassionate believers. To ensure confluence of mindsthus helping in dissection of well established theories, analysisof global events and advent of modern ideas, all at events ofimport, organized by students, for the students. To create asense of belonging in an individual, not just to the prestigiousdepartment, but also to his class group of intelligentsia, as wellas groom him for his future organizational ventures.


MBA HUMAN RESOURCE DEVELOPMENT

The success and sustenance of every organizationtraces back to its most core and prized asset: People!In today’s world, every major corporation whichwants to stay competitive and survive in a dynamicand unforgiving global economic environmentrealises the importance of elevating CourseIntroduction HR to a position of primacy andpower. In the liberalised framework of the Indianeconomy, corporate experts in human resourcedevelopment are among the key personnel neededfor corporate strategic planning and control. TheMBA program in Human Resource Developmentwas started in the year 1995 (as MHROD) by theDepartment of Commerce, Delhi School ofEconomics with the objective of providing qualityeducation to highly motivated young men andwomen so that they can provide professionalexpertise to business and industry in the twin areasof Human Resource and OrganizationalDevelopment. Identified by NHRD and NTPC,among others, as a premiere course in the field ofHuman Resource, MBA (HRD) is a two-year fulltime professional program spread over foursemesters, which combines gruelling academicschedules with proactive efforts to develop newperspectives and a higher level of knowledge andunderstanding. Going beyond books, theories andcase studies to open new windows, it helps youngHR and OD experts to enter the increasinglycompetitive and constantly changing globaleconomy, equipped with the ability to face everychallenge head on and emerge victorious.

GLOBAL GEOMETRY YEAR 2018

DSE, MBA-HRD announces the successful completion of the SummerInternship Recruitment Programme 2019 and as well Final Placementsfor its 25th MBA Batch (2019-21). Being the premier B-School in thecountry to have completed the process, the institute had the privilegeof hosting some of the biggest brands in the industry. Continuing thestrong upward trend over the past few years, it has, yet again, set anew milestone by clocking in one of the most successful finalplacements setting benchmark at INR 22,22,000 LPA and summerplacements with highest stipend of INR 1,80,000 benchmark for thetwo-month internship. We are grateful to our esteemed recruiting partners who reinforcedtheir faith in the talent of DSE MBA-HRD by opening up coveted rolesfor the students. We are also honored to have forged new associationswith a host of top names in the industry such as TATA Steel, IBM,Arcesium, Induslnd Bank, Welspun Corp.Ltd., ITC Hotels, Larsen &Toubro, AkzoNobel, Ericsson etc. The average CTC offered to the students stands at INR 9.68 LPA. Thetotal participants comprised of 50% females who have grabbed some ofthe top offers from prominent recruiters like ICICI Bank, MahindraComviva, Induslnd Bank, Infosys BPM, Anand Group etc. We would like to thank our recruiters for evincing faith andconfidence in the caliber of the students of DSE MBA-HRD andexpress our heartfelt gratitude for the unparalleled support andassistance shown by our distinguished alumni. Different organisationswere a part of the process and spanned across a miscellany of sectorsincluding Automobile, BFSI, Consulting, FMCG/FMCD, InformationTechnology, Infrastructure, Manufacturing, Pharmaceutical, Retailand Telecom inter alia, making offers to over all the students acrossvarious HR domain.
