IX th NDT in Progress 2017 International Workshop of NDT Experts and Students Prague, October 9 – 11, 2017 www.cndt.cz FIRST ANNOUNCEMENT The International Workshop NDT in Progress 2017, which is organized under auspices of European Federation for NDT by the Czech Society for NDT (CNDT) will be already the ninth event in a series started in 2001 as a biennial workshops organized commonly by the German NDT society (DGZfP) with CNDT. The primary aim of these popular workshops is a meeting of world NDT experts and students allowing to discuss the latest state-of-the-art of the nondestructive testing and evaluation (NDT/NDE) research and developments in all scientific and application areas. All interested persons are cordially invited to contribute to discussions by their oral and/or poster presentations. Next to the skilled experts, the workshop is also intended for young researchers and students who are invited to present their latest results and findings including not yet finished research. The Workshop will be exceptional opportunity for dissemination of new experiences and methods in the NDT/NDE field. Besides the working days participants will also have a nice occasion to enjoy Prague – one of the most magical cities in Europe. Main topics of the Workshop: Acoustic emission; Acoustic and ultrasonic methods including guided waves and phased arrays; Electromagnetic and new magnetic methods; Radiographic methods including infrared and terahertz waves; Optical methods and imaging; Image and signal processing in NDT/NDE including tomography; Nonlinear methods and inverse problems; Structural health monitoring (SHM); Numerical simulations in NDT/NDE/SHM; Automated NDT systems and data processing; Student presentations and poster session. Call for papers: Authors are invited to submit their abstracts and papers in electronic files. Printed Workshop Proceedings will be provided also on a DVD and open-accessed at the www.ndt.net (ISSN 1435-4934). Represenatives of NDT companies are also invited to active participation through the corporate sponsorships. They will have opportunities of their company presentation and advertisement in workshop Proceedings. The official language will be English. Conference venue: The modern hotel MERITUM located in the western part of Prague city, between the city center and the international Václav Havel Prague Airport, easily accessible for participants traveling by plane or car. The hotel with conference rooms is in monumentally protected object of Kubr-farm from the 16 th century, the oldest rural homestead in Prague.
