GENERAL OVERVIEW:
IX Series 2 stations can associate to the “Unifi ed Communications Manager (CUCM)” manufactured by Cisco Systems Co., Ltd. This document describes the basic confi guration for associating IX system to CUCM.The screen shots in this manual use “Unifi ed Communications Manager 11.5.”Please refer to the relevant manual provided by Cisco Systems for the further information.
Certifi ed IX systems for CUCM 10.5/11.5 are as follows.IX-MV7-*, IX-RS-*, IX-DV, IX-DVF-*, IX-SSA-*, IX-SS-2G

System Preparation
Support Tool has been downloaded and installed.
Create a list each IX Series station’s MAC address with Station Number and Name Included.
Before beginning the programming process, ensure the following steps have been completed:
Enable the Call Manager service of CUCM.
Get the license key for the station to register and register with Enterprise License Manager.

Logging in
1.1 - Enter IP AddressOpen a web browser and navigate to the IP address of your CUCM Server.
1.2 - CUCM
Select Cisco Unifi ed Communications Manager.
1.3 - Log in
Enter a Username and Password, click Login.
Creating a Security Profi le
2.1 - System
Use the System dropdown and fi nd Security.
2.2 - Phone Security Profi le
Select Phone Security Profi le.

2.3 - Find Third-party SIP Device (Basic/Advanced)Locate Find Phone Security Profi le and using the dropdown menu options select Name and begins with. Type “third” in the search fi eld, then click Find.
2.4 - Select a Profi le
For IX-MV7-*, IX-DV, or IX-DVF-*: Third-party SIP Device Advanced- Standard SIP Non-Secure Profi le
For IX-RS-*, IX-SSA-*, or IX-SS-2G: Third-party SIP Device Basic - Standard SIP Non-Secure Profi le
2.5 - Enable Digest Auth
Check the box next to Enable Digest Authentication.
2.6 - Apply Confi guration
Click the Apply Confi g button.

Registering a User
3.1 - Select End User
Use the User Management dropdown and select End User.
3.2 - Add New
Click Add New
3.3 - User Information
User ID:Fill out this fi eld with the Station Name assigned to this station in Support Tool.
Password/Confi m Password:Any password may be used here, however the recommended password is Aiphone.
Last Name:Fill out this fi eld with the Station Name assigned to this station in Support Tool.
Digest Credentials/Confi rm Digest Credentials:Any password may be used here, however the recommended password is Aiphone.
3.4 - Save
Click Save at the top of the page.

Registering a Device
4.1 - Select Phone
Use the Device dropdown and select Phone.
4.2 - Add New
Click Add New
4.3 - Select a Phone Type
For IX-MV7-*, IX-DV, or IX-DVF-*: Third-party SIP Device Advanced- Standard SIP Non-Secure Profi le
For IX-RS-*, IX-SSA-*, or IX-SS-2G: Third-party SIP Device Basic - Standard SIP Non-Secure Profi le

Click Next.

Registering a Device (cont.) 4.5 - Device Information
MAC Address:Fill out this fi eld with the MAC Address assigned to this station.
Description:The Station Type of the IX station found in Support Tool.
Device Pool:Select Default.
Phone Button Template:For IX-MV7-*, IX-DV, or IX-DVF-*: Third-party SIP Device Advanced- Standard SIP Non-Secure Profi le
For IX-RS-*, IX-SSA-*, or IX-SS-2G: Third-party SIP Device Basic - Standard SIP Non-Secure Profi le.
Owner:Select User.
Owner User ID:The station’s Station Number found in Support Tool.
4.6 - Protocol Specifi c Information
BLF Presence Group:Select Standard Presence group.
Device Security Profi le:For IX-MV7-*, IX-DV, or IX-DVF-*: Third-party SIP Device Advanced- Standard SIP Non-Secure Profi le
For IX-RS-*, IX-SSA-*, or IX-SS-2G: Third-party SIP Device Basic - Standard SIP Non-Secure Profi le.
SIP Profi le:Select Standard SIP Profi le.

Select Line [1] – Add a new DN.

The station’s Station Number used previously and found in Support Tool.
4.10 - BLF Presence GroupSelect Standard Presence Group.
4.11 - Mulple Call/Call WaitingMaximum Number of Calls: 2Busy Trigger: 1
4.12 - Save
Click Save at the top of the page.

Adding CUCM to Support Tool
Enter the CUCM User ID and Password for the specifi c station.
5.2 - ID and PasswordEnter the IPv4 Address of the CUCM Server.
5.3 - IPv4 AddressClick the Update button to store the settings and continue to the next step.
5.4 - UpdateFrom the menu on the left expand Network Settings, and select SIP.

Settings will not take eff ect until the setting fi les have been uploaded to the stations. Refer to fi nal page of this guide for the procedure of uploading the settings.

Confi guring the Call Button to answer an incoming SIP call
From the menu on the left expand Option Input, and select Relay Output.
6.3 - Relay OutputUse the drop-down to select Relay Output 2.
6.4 - Select Relay OutputUse the drop-down to select Status Output.
6.5 - FunctionCheck the box for Normal, Priority, and Urgent.
6.6 - Incoming Call
From the menu on the left expand Call Settings, and select Station Information.
6.1 - Station InformationUse the drop-down for the station to be confi gured and select Call, Answer Call, End Communication.
6.2 - Call Button Fuction

From the menu on the left expand Option Input, and select Relay Output.
6.7 - Option InputUse the drop-down to select Option Input 5.
6.8 - Select InputUse the drop-down to select Answer Call / Page.
6.9 - FunctionClick the Update button to save the settings.

Confi guring Transfer
From the menu bar on the click Edit(E) then select VoIP Phone List.
7.1 - VoIP Phone List
In the next available row, add the Enterprise Alternate Number confi gured to call the station receiving the transfer.
7.2 - Register
Click Update to save the settings.
7.3 - Update
Settings will not take eff ect until the setting fi les have been uploaded to the stations. Refer to fi nal page of this guide for the procedure of uploading the settings.

From the menu bar, select File then Upload Settings To Station.
8.1 - Upload Settings To Station
Click Select to check all stations in the system.
8.2 - Select StationsUsing the Status column confi rm, that each station has received its setting fi le.
