ABSTRAK

Pada tugas akhir ini dibuat sebuah mesin magnetic coolant separator yaitu sebuah

mesin yang mampu memisahkan material besi dengan coolant secara otomatis.

Latar belakang pembuatan mesin magnetic coolant separator ini karena konsumsi

pendingin sangat tinggi, suatu sistem sangat dibutuhkan, sehingga dapat

mengedarkan kembali pendingin yang digunakan. Tujuan dalam pembuatan mesin

magnetic coolent separator adanya mesin ini cairan pendingin pada mesin dapat

di pisahkan dari gram bekas hasil produksi sehingga kualitas cairan pendingin

tetap terjaga dan terhindar dari kotoran. Pembuatan mesin magnetic coolant

separator menggunakan cara pengumpulan suatu data atau informasi yang

berkaitan dengan suatu masalah yang akan diteliti serta tahapan proses

perancangan dan pembuatan disertai juga pengujian hasil kinerja dari mesin. Hasil

yang di dapatkan dalam pembuatan mesin magnetik coolant separator ini mampu

menarik atau memisahkan material besi dari cairan pendingin (coolant). Sehingga

kualitas cairan pendingin (coolant) tetap terjaga.

Alhamdulillah, penulis bersyukur kepada Allah, sehingga atas karunia-Nya,

penulis bisa menyelesaikan tugas akhir ini. Shalawat dan salam senantiasa

tercurah atas Nabi Muhammad shalallahu ’alaihi wa sallam.

Tugas akhir ini merupakan salah satu persyaratan memperoleh gelar Ahli Madya

pada Program Studi Teknik Mesin, Jurusan Teknik Mesin Politeknik Indramayu.

Tugas akhir ini berjudul ’Perancangan Mesin Magnetik Coolant Separator Untuk

Memisahkan gram dengan Collant secara otomatis.

Penulis mulai mengerjakan tugas akhir ini pada bulan Maret 2018, dan selesai

pada pertengahan Agustus 2018. Satu bulan terakhir, penulis gunakan alat dan

mesin di laboratorium teknik mesin.

Penulis menyampaikan terima kasih kepada semua pihak yang telah membantu

penulis dalam penyelesaian tugas akhir ini. Secara khusus penulis mengucapkan
