Norway (country code +47)

Communication of 28.IV.2008:

The Norwegian Post and Telecommunications Authority (NPT), Oslo, recalls the introduction in 1999 of a special five-digit non-geographic number range in Norway. The range, allocated from 02000 to 09999, is well suited for large companies that desire an easy number.

The five-digit resource is limited to 8000 numbers and 750 numbers have so far been assigned.

However, some problems have been encountered when accessing these numbers from abroad – both from roaming Norwegian end users and from foreign customers. Consequently, the Norwegian Post and Telecommunications Authority (NPT) requests all administrations and Recognized Operating Agencies (ROAs) to ensure that access is given to the above number ranges, with immediate effect.
