Even the finest detail is precisely

engineered for maximum

performance. The 416 hp1 and 371

lb-ft of torque1 from the IS F’s

5.0-liter V8 deliver a 0-to-60

time of just 4.6 seconds.1,2 It’s a

technological tour de force

that includes titanium intake valves,

direct and port fuel injection, a

compression ratio of 11.8: 1,

and Variable Valve Timing with

intelligence and Electronic intake

valve timing (VVT-iE).

TRACK-PROVEN

To satisfy their craving for hardcore

performance, a small group of

hand-selected rogue engineers

precisely engineered every detail

of the IS F between their regular

assignments. The result: a monster

that proved itself at racetracks

around the world, including Circuit

Paul Ricard in France; Circuit Zolder

in Belgium; and the IS F’s home

circuit, Fuji Speedway in Japan.

EIGHT-SPEED SPORT

DIRECT SHIFT

The IS F’s eight-speed Sport Direct-

Shift transmission with paddle

shifters features full torque-converter

lockup for gears two through

eight for improved responsiveness,

plus a control system that enables

virtually instant manual upshifts

as quick as 0.1 seconds. It also blips

the throttle on downshifts, while

giving the driver full control over

gear selection.

OPTIMIZED SUSPENSION

The front of the IS F uses a double-

wishbone design with high-mount

upper arms. The front and rear

monotube gas-pressure shock

absorbers are employed with stiff

springs and a large stabilizer bar—all

optimized to precisely control body

and wheel motion. The rear

suspension utilizes a multilink form

and, like the front suspension, is

extensively tuned to improve turn-in

response and handling dynamics.

TORSEN® TORQUE-SENSING

REAR DIFFERENTIAL

The IS F is equipped with a limited-

slip TORSEN® torque-sensing rear

differential.4 This particular feature

intuitively channels more power

to the rear wheel with the greatest

traction without interrupting engine

output, unlike traditional traction

control systems. The increased

traction means more power and

more exhilarating performance

through turns and curves.

BREMBO® BRAKING SYSTEM

Fast, consistent braking is not only

essential for safety, it also helps

reduce lap times. Brembo crafted a

special, high-performance braking

system5 for the IS F, which includes

massive six-piston aluminum calipers

that clamp huge 14.2-inch cross-

drilled and ventilated rotors in front

and two-piston calipers with

13.6-inch cross-drilled and ventilated

rotors in the rear. Working together,

they are designed to consistently

provide short stops—on track or off.

PERFORMANCE ENGINE

TECHNOLOGY

The IS F’s 5.0-liter V8 engine has

an insatiable appetite for air.

A sophisticated dual intake system

provides smooth power at low-to-

medium speeds, then opens wide

at elevated rpm for maximum

power and torque. Additionally, it

features an oil scavenge pump

with a unique cooling system that

helps separate air from the fluids

to compensate for the stresses of

high-performance driving.

SPORT SEATS

Highly bolstered leather-trimmed

sport seats help support aggressive

driving by helping to keep you

firmly in place through turns. The

front seats are heated and fully

adjustable for optimal comfort and

control. And there are three

available interior colors (including a

new black and red combination), each

featuring leather and Alcantara trim

with contrast stitching and Dark

Aluminized Composite accents.
