The Course Spread out among vineyards which frame the Custoza hills in the west of Verona, and located in an immaculate, picturesque landscape, the Verona Golf Club offers an itinerary for the elite following the traditional golfing tourism of north Europe. Set up in 1963, on the undertaking of a restricted group of friends, amongst others Alberto Farina, Everardo Macola, Harold Gent e Giacomo Galtarossa, with a 9-hole course which was skilfully mapped out by John Harris, it was doubled in the following decade as a result of the increased interest the initiative attracted. In the last five years, and on occasion of the 40th anniversary of the founda-tion of the Club, the circle has undergone a complex and studied renova-tion process of its core areas – the reception buildings and the course, which were attentively and skilfully designed by Baldovino Dassù and Alvise Rossi Fioravanti.At the first nine holes, which are enveloped in copious vegetation and made challenging by a green which is well supported by mounds and bunkers, there follows a conclusive sequence that is characterised by ample and un-dulating fairways which are nevertheless technically harmonious with the initial part of the course.18 holes of challenging golf that gently follow the natural slopes of Garda hills among vineyards and old trees that offer breathtaking views.
