Istanbul Aydin University (IAU) was founded in 2003 as an outstanding higher education center in order to introduce high quality graduates to the business world. Today, the university has 11 faculties, 3 vocational schools, 1 foreign language school, 3 institutes, 28 research centers. IAU is and continues to be the most preferred Foundation University in Turkey.Istanbul Aydin University offers a wide range of

programs in order to provide modern and diverse education opportunities to its students. The teaching medium in most of the departments is English. The programs are led by the strongest, experienced, equipped, and knowledgeable academic educators in the country. Istanbul Aydın University’s diplomas are recognized by the European Union and extended region of European Higher Education.

Advantages of Our Education SystemDouble-Major EducationThe undergraduate students of Istanbul Aydın University can obtain a second Bachelor’s degree as well as their original Bachelor’s degree if they successfully complete at least 36 credits in their second degree program.

Minor EducationThe undergraduate students of Istanbul Aydın University can get a Bachelor’s degree of their original program as well as a minor certificate if they successfully complete at least 18 credits in their minor program.

Interdepartmental Transfer SystemThe students of Istanbul Aydın University can transfer to those departments that match the entry requirements and educational content of their original if they pass all courses successfully after studying at least one term for their original associate degree program and at least two terms for the undergraduate program. Moreover, the students can use the lateral transfer system if their exam results of the year of acceptance (in the exam by Assessment Selection and Placement Center) are equal to or higher than the base point of the programs to which they want to transfer in Istanbul Aydın University.

Turkish Language RequirementsIf you would like to study in a degree program which the medium of instruction is in Turkish, then you must demonstrate that your Turkish is proficient enough by providing a Aydın TÖMER Certificate or by taking the IAU Turkish Proficiency exam. The minimum required TÖMER certificate for the graduate programs is a B2.

All of your documents which are required for registration must be translated into Turkish or English and must be notarized by a notary in Turkey.

AdmissionsAdmission RequirementsThe requirements for a Graduate Degree may differ depending on which language you would like to study in.

English Language RequirementsIf you would like to study in a degree program which the medium of instruction is in English, then you must demonstrate that your English is proficient enough by providing a TOEFL iBT score or by taking the IAU English proficiency exam.
