The book corner Harry Potter and the prisoner of Askaban by Erin, Amber

This book is really good and even though it is the third book in the series, this is

my favourite book because this is the book where Harry finds more about his

parents and learns about dementors and how to make them go away.

Minecraft by Cameron, Emerald

In Minecraft it tells you about how to save your life in ‘survival’ and it

tells you what to do and it tells you what to do if the players are in a fight

- they can have animals. You can make buildings and it is an amazing book.

Bella gets her skates on by Keira, Emerald

It is about three small rabbits called Bella, Sophie and Ben. I like this

book because the dad calls them funny names.

Emmie from Emerald Class

Cuts her Hair for Charity, By Liliane

Amber Class

I am sure that some of you would have noticed Emmie from Emerald Class standing at the

school gates with a bucket…

…curious to find out what she was doing, I decided to go over and see what she was doing and

why.

It turns out that Emmie was raising money for the Princess Trust, a charity that helps

children with cancer that lose their hair.

Emmie decided that she should help them by donating her hair that would be used to make

wigs for these children.

On Friday the 23rd of October Emmie went to Headmasters in West Hampstead and had all

her long hair cut off and by doing this she raised an amazing £197. Some very sick children

will also benefit from some new hair thanks to Emmie.

Well done Emmie, we all think you have done an amazing thing.

Story: The weird grandpa by Kaya, Sapphire

As soon as Ben heard the doorbell, he woke up. He heard footsteps, then a dark figure

appeared at the door. “Who are you?” he questioned. A croaky voice answered “It’s your

grandpa. Well, your unknown grandpa.” Then Ben remembered what his dad had said “You’re

staying at your grandpa’s ok? And that’s that. You will have an adventure. You will love that.”

So Ben got changed in his clothes. His grandpa told him what to wear. It was an adventure suit.

What was the adventure? When they got to his house, he was startled. The house was made

out of all kinds of fine wood. Ben climbed up the tree with all his might and entered the

mysterious house. Inside the house, he found a sugar glider, a cheetah, a lion and a white and

orange tiger. Ben was petrified. His grandpa bellowed from below, “PET MY PETS!” Ben

stretched his left hand forward to the sugar glider and stroked it as gently as possible. Soon

enough, the rest of the animals gathered around him. After a while, Ben dashed out of the

tree house and into the dangerous jungle with his new friends.

Trains – All you need to know

about them! By Kieran, Garnet

Some of them are steam trains, electric trains or diesel trains. Some of them have names.

They have carriages and connecting rods. I first discovered about trains when I was 3. I love

everything there is to know about trains. To see them go to a train station or even better, go

to the London transport museum. There is a train called the Flying Scotsman which is an old

train but has come out new again. Trains go through tunnels. Trains run on tracks.
