Harmony Day at Heaton Park

The Newcastle Harmony Day celebrations, which were washed out recently, will be held this Sunday from 11:00-3:00.

Our children’s art will be on display in the Neighbourhood Centre.

Unsung Hero

Today’s unsung hero is Mrs Dianne Watkins, our relieving School Administration Manager. Mrs Watkins has been

working at Heaton for the past year while Mrs Osmond has been part of the Department’s new software training and

support team.

Di, as we all know her, has been a fantastic smiling face each day and has built a wonderful relationship with the whole-

school community. Mrs Osmond will be returning next term and Di is off to another school to continue the role she is

currently doing. We might see her back at Heaton later in the year but for now, we say farewell and thank her for the

work she has done, the smiles that she has brought and the support she has given me and the other members of our

staff while she has been here.

Favourite food – Chocolate (but not any more after Easter)

Favourite Movie – Age of Adeline

Favourite Book – The Jack Reacher Series

Favourite Holiday – Hawaii (But every holiday is good)

Hobbies – Surfing and Swimming (Also getting dressed up for Halloween)

Pets – A cat called “Pus”

Have a great fortnight and a wonderful term break.

Our teachers and staff return on 30th April but the school will not be open as we are participating in professional

learning away from the school.

Students return on 1st May.
