Issue 21 Fathers Day Part 2

The Woodward Weekly News June 22nd FINAL 2nd EDITION!!!!!! Lead Story……. Shayna Rose's Dad Chris Rose in honor of Father's Day. Shayna: What do you love most about being a father? Dad: I love everything about being a dad of course the fun stuff is a given, but to be able to raise two children from birth to adulthood and know that I had a part in who you become makes me feel SO LUCKY. Taking the role of fatherhood is a responsibility that I feel as a husband is what life is all about. Shayna: What is your favorite thing to do with your children on weekends? Dad: My perfect weekend with both you and your brother would be a relaxing Saturday morning with no chores (and NO shopping MOM!!) and we all make breakfast together in the kitchen. Next we have a great day trip like the zoo, an amusement park, the beach something like that. After a great day we go to a nice restaurant for dinner. The next day we spend at home in comfy clothes doing a great project! Making an elaborate art project or building something that we can all be proud of when it's done. That night the four of us watch a movie with popcorn. That would be my ideal weekend. Shayna: What would be your ideal Fathers Day? Dad: My ideal fathers day would be playing a round of golf in the morning with my dad. Then I would come home to you and your brother and mom and we would grill food on the deck and spend the day in the backyard listening to music, laughing and playing games on the lawn. (In my ideal fathers day it is sunny and the lawn is a perfect green with no bald spots!!!!) Shayna: If you could have any Father's day meal what would it be? Dad: Well there are a lot of great choices but I would say a great chinese restaurant would be my top pick! Shayna: What are you most proud of about me? Dad: Ohh, I don't think your newspaper is long enough to list them! I would start with how wise you are! Not only are you incredibly school smart but you have an amazing ability to understand people and know just how to treat people at the right time. You always want to understand everything and everyone and are not content until you feel like you get it. I think when a lot of people would get angry or lose patience with something you seem to think things through and are able to realize things that a lot of adults don't even grasp. You have so many qualities that I admire and it actually pushes me to be a better person because I feel I have to be better to be around you. I see your brother having so many amazing qualities and I think he is that way because he watches how you are and copies it. You're such a great example and I hope you never forget that.
