Issue 2 Term 1 Week 6 Monday, 2nd March 2015 Issue 12 Term 3 Week 2 Thursday 1 August 2019 Dear Parents, Carers and Families Welcome to Term 3. We have many exciting opportunities planned for our students this term. Please refer to our Education Week brochure to view the many learning opportunities that our parents are invited to view next week. The 2019 Education Week theme is Every Student, Every Voice. To complement the theme, our public speaking and spelling programs will be on display and we are celebrating NAIDOC Week. If your child will be representing their class or stage in a Public Speaking or Spelling Bee final, you will be notified. Mrs Klein has organised another amazing NAIDOC Celebration. She is happy to accept volunteers on the day. If you would like to volunteer, please ensure that you have provided the school with an Appendix 5 form and 100 points of identification, prior to the day. Students will have the opportunity to sample native sausages and damper again this year, so please advise the school if your child’s dietary requirements have changed. Stage 3 students represented our school at Lake Macquarie High School’s NAIDOC Assembly last Friday. I would like to extend a huge thank you to Bunnings and Ian and John from Warners Bay Rotary Club. Over the last few weeks, the men have installed a watering system in our vegetable garden. Our students were able to assist with the connection of the devices. It is wonderful to have this community support to assist with our educational programs. Last week, Kindergarten celebrated 100 Days of School with a variety of activities. This was such an exciting milestone for them. I cannot believe that they are already half way through their first year of school. Please join us at our P and C meeting on Monday 5 August at 6pm in the Library. All welcome. Kind Regards Kristy Luff
