The Oru Kayak is a sportive 3.66-meter long foldable kayak that takes only five minutes to assemble. Origami principles are utilized to create incredible structural strength while being made of a single, seamless and very light sheet of double-layered plastic. The kayak can be stored in its own portable case weighing only 11.8 kilograms. The company was started as a crowd-funding project on kickstarter.com and reached its goal of US$ 80,000 in only five hours.
